The 1% question was NOTHING SHORT OF A BRILLIANT SURPRISE!!! I took some time off to figure out the answer because it wasn't immediately obvious to me by any means. Even after coming back to it after a while, it still made no sense to me. Finally, when the last contestant standing revealed his answer, I was like, "My goodness, this is a genius at work! Everything falls into place now!"

Actually the 1% question was easier than the 25% and 20% questions. I figured it out almost immediately. I've come to understand that the clue is usually in the question.

for me these were much easier than the last one. i guess everyone is different.

The host is always reminding the contestants that the questions are about logic - not general knowledge or trivia. They are symbolic and usually about language. Most of the time, people jump into trying to work out the answer and just confuse themselves. On the last one I was all ready - I imagined a grid with the letters all mapped out and follow it around doing goodness knows what. Then I sat back and saw the arrows were pointing in the four different directions - First one S then W then.... I just shouted out 'sweetness' - I guess you just say what you see. As others have pointed out - clues are given a lot of the time in the question itself. In the 35% question, which I really liked, I could see that all the words were anagrams of each other so nothing stood out as incorrect. The question says ' there;s only ONE thing you need to do... so MOVE IT. Move one thing and bang there it was - moving one letter once did not rearrange Filets but the other three did. Anyway. Fun show - I like playing it at home, with my paper and pencil to jot down answers.

@truthunmasked12612 күн бұрын
1:00:20 is wrong . The correct answer is C. Imagine you're facing a mirror. The image you see is like looking at yourself from behind. Your left side is still your left side, and your right side is still your right side. It's just that you're seeing yourself from a perspective you normally don't experience.
@alisdairmckenzie12 күн бұрын
It's not wrong it's just the wording - which is a bit tricky. If the girl stands in front of a mirror - her reflection in it would be A - definitely. I also thought so and so I tried it myself and of course It's what I see reflected. It's as you put it - it's about what perspective you are taking when looking at it. There is a trick to it - Take the main image and put one of images A B or C next to it - then close it ( as if it were a book). Notice which of the 3 images perfectly matches with it. Do it with B and C and the arm carrying the sunflower is wrong - only A fits.

I've watched 3 series of this gameshow as the UK version and while the 1% question in the first game had me stumped, the 1% question in the second was the easiest one I've ever seen! And the FN SE JR S? Question in the 2nd game actually has 2 answers. F to N is seven letters apart, J to R is seven letters apart, SE and S? Could have been the same if using a 7 by 12 by 7 by 12 combo if one were to loop the alphabet. The host says you do not need any trivia to know the answers, but in that one, a non american would need the knowledge of the American schooling system. That itself is trivial.

❤I don't understand the answer to the 10% question. The question asked about the bookworm eating through all 10 volumes from cover to cover. How is it not 20 inches when he's eating from the front or volume 1 to back of volume 10 and each one is 2 inches thick? 2 inches x 10 is 20. I don't understand how it's 16. Please explain. Even after they tried to explain it, I still didn't get it
@ElizabethBrendaLo2 ай бұрын
Yup, 20 inches was also my answer. You see, the front of volume 1 is actually touching volume 2, NOT the end of the stack. Similarly, the back of volume 10 is actually touching volume 9, NOT the other end of the stack. 20 inches would have been correct if the volumes had been arranged with Volume 1 in the extreme right and Volume 10 on the extreme left. Sadly, they were arranged the other way round which means the worm only ate through the thickness of *EIGHT* volumes.

I think the tricky part to this one is remembering the front cover of a book is on the right side of the spine and the back cover of a book is on the left side of the spine. Because we read left to right, it’s easy to make an error and quickly think the front cover must be on the left side, and the back cover on the right side. Hope that helps!
