It's very old, actually. In very high elo, ezreals should only use r when a fight is initiated because you might just hit enough Qs to get it back at the end, plus you don't need to lock yourself in a 0.5 second animation mid-fight. It's a fun combo but so very situational that you might just never see it in pro play, because if you ever find yourself ulting in front of someone you're doing something wrong 99.9% of the time. Ezreal isn't meant to stand still during a fight. Ever.

Ezreal not good in the pro meta right now, and it's more for solo queue because pros will never put themselves in the that position to be bursted.

Ezreal ult in high elo/pro play is for poke, especially before teamfights or to take a wave. For example you use r on botlane so wave pushes tower, and you go nashor. Enemy has to react to bot, because minions will stack up there and someone can split push resulting in 4v5 on baron, where person out pushing has to tp to a fight. It's rarely to finish off a target

i get that it can stop an opponent from trying to dodge the ult, but flash is a very high value cooldown and so is arcane shift. if you do this you relinquish the mobility on both spells.

As a Wild Rift player this R+Flash combos always seems weird AF to me 'cause on WR flash changes the origin of casting ability proyectiles to the new spot. This may seem bad, but I actually prefer it because I can correct the direction if the enemy flashes, moves or if I just missed originally.

I think this would only work under a few conditions at the reasonably high level (plat+) level… >you are OPENING with this combo when they don’t expect you to engage at all, for the all in, or to chunk before an objective or something. If you are using this combo to secure a kill, a W + Q + AA combo would = the damage of this combo because you are omitting an AA with the E + R combo. > you are 100% sure you are NOT counterable. Blowing flash + E makes ezreal very vulnerable and almost any jungler at a reasonable HP will kill him with E and Flash down (no support around). Even if Ezreal is running exhaust, it’s not enough to save him > you don’t need Flash for the next few minutes/no objectives or you plan on playing safe because you’re behind >you won’t need ult for teamfight >you’re sure you can actually land the abilities. It’s quite possible that they accidentally flash your ult because they panic flash OR are waiting for you to E in and react flash some random direction to counter you. You end up outplaying yourself. In the clip Ezreal flashes into the bush after the E + R combo, that’s really good and makes you quite uncounterable in many respects, but also an unnessecary way to play and you’re likely to screw it up. > you need extremely good ping, I play at 35 ping and I cannot buffer skills that well (p2+ player), but maybe it’s a skill Issue. Point is.. have really good ping. Overall,,, amazing showcase but really impractical because there are easier ways to accomplish whatever goal you have by doing this surprise attack. Heck, even R’ing + E’ing from bush with Q or AA would do the same damage.

as an Ezreal OTP, I have played 1000+ games and currently D2 player (s12 master). That combo is not going to work in real fights cuz you need exactly 0 movement of your cursor to have auto aim after casting E, and it needs to hit the target you want, which means you need to let go of your right hand on your mouse to do it. I tried a lot of time in practice tool and that's the only way to do it. So, no one is able to do this in real fights. The best I can suggest is to practice dodging the skillshots.
