Interesting. I use the mask pads, but more often I use the ufo to apply serums without a pad, just the serum directly on the skin and pair it up with the light best suited for that serum.

@@excellence_is_me I think some people just put serum on the skin, or directly onto the device. It's not recommended by the manufacturer but I suppose you could see whether you can tolerate it without the sheet mask (or a piece of cotton like I use) as a barrier x

Aw thank you. And yes I know what you mean.. I have mixed feelings about my Foreo, but apparently you can use the serum directly on it. I need to try that again sometime - it was too hot for me the last time I tried haha

I really think ufo and masks are worth investing in, because they give my skin treatment that makes it glow. So I guess I'm one of those that just go for it :) But I will follow you for tips, for sure

i was thinking could you use the ufo device on top of a sheet mask (i.e. a korean sheet mask already applied all over the face) and jus use the led lights over it or would that not rlly do anything?

@@himarktuan Yes defo! Maybe less of an exfoliating effect - as both the sheet mask & cotton pad hack have a bit of exfoliating action when you're moving the ufo over your face. But in terms of LED effect - no difference. I was worried it would be too hot for my skin, so i just tested it on my cheek near the angle of my jaw so it was away & it seemed fine... but definitely that's not how the manufacturer recommends it to be used 😆

I really don't like the masks that are compatible with the foreo. I don't find them suitable for my skin type, they leave my skin feeling really dry. Really interested in making my own and applying with my usual serum. It's too hot on my skin to use without a barrier

Hello, do you think it would be possible to cut out circles of the right size from a normal sheet mask and put them in the ufo? Moreover I have the UFO 2 mini can I use it under the eyes or is that only possible with regular size UFO? Please help 🙏

I don’t quite understand why you think your hack reduces waste. Could you please explain further? I thought the actual mask pads were plant based & biodegradable? That’s how they are advertised as. Your cotton pads are an interesting idea but surely a lot of bleach is used to make those? Then you are cutting them up etc which made me think of easy contamination. I’d love to hear your reasoning as I’m just not getting it.

Hi thanks for your feedback. I fully agree, now that they are biodegradable. This video is kind of old now. Probably needs updating. To my knowledge, they were not biodegradable were when I got mine which was when they were first released & the pad plus the foil wrapping around each individual pad plus the box it came in plus the plastic wrapper around the box the pads came in was all very wasteful I felt. I actually no longer do this either but just use it without a pad… which I think we’d agree is the least wasteful option of all.

_I think_ UFO is worth investing in and masks actually do a great job for my skin. You can get ufo masks that have more than enough serum in them for one use - I use them twice, to be honest, so - yes, it pays off. But, I also admit that your hack is more than interesting
