Nice job on this video! We watch a lot of videos and it takes forever for them to “get to the point.” Your video is clear, easy to see, totally helpful! Thank you for this!

I watched a few other videos and yours was by far the best. Thank you for this clear explanation.

It’s these little attention to detail that make the most difference and will cost you a lot less wasted money and time in the long run. Thanks for the heads up!

Awesome tip!! installing my first job today. going to try and find the other tips at the difficult parts of the job.

Its difficult but not impossible bud just make sure your base is flat and compact ed well. Also the turf needs to be installed stretched. Creating a 5x5 grid with nails during the install process is enough but the more the better.

That seems obvious to me, but what about the perpendicular lines? I'm not sure how to erase those.

If the turf pieces are not outer most outside edges w/ flaps, do you suggest STILL cutting 3 stitch rows in? If yes, why? Thx.

So just to confirm, you leave a little gap where there will be nothing in between the 2 pieces but it won't show since the grass moves that way anyway?
@BellaTurfDIY3 жыл бұрын
Correct. You want the end row of blades on each piece to replicate the spacing throughout.

Will you do one on head seams???

For cross seams is it the same process or is there another trick? I want to buy some remnant. I need 15x30' but I have deal on 15x15' and 15x15 how do I seam in the middle without a line?
@scrapppackk79713 жыл бұрын
Overlap the two pieces about 3-4 inches, and follow along the top piece with a poking tool (I use an ice pick) and make little pokes through the bottom roll where the top roll falls at. Make them 2-3 inches apart so they're easy to find, then fold the turf back and connect the dots with a blade. Lay in a as if gluing the seam and they should like up perfectly

If the turf has been installed and it has this "mohawk" effect, can it still be fixed?

Wish there was answer to this. My husband and I are going to use scissors and cut off the top- hopefully that works

How far from the edge do you nail it in at the seam?
@BellaTurfDIY3 жыл бұрын
Thanks to TurfTac adhesive, we longer nail seams. Rather weight them down for 45-60 mins after glueing.

Can you take it back up and rejoin? My hubby has laid ours wrong and it’s a black seam line. Can it be rectified
@nateberkheimer3 жыл бұрын
Most seam adhesive is a permanent fix. There is a way to correct, but will require cutting the seam out and adding a new strip of turf. Want to shoot a photo to nate@bellaturf.ca? I'll see if I see a clear solution.

he is cutting the grass so when two seprate pieces join, the notches in the bottom will look seamless since the rows of grass are the same distance, take a look again he maintains the gap across all the rows. too big too small will make the grass stick out

Does not help really for non-square lawns as your cutting across these seams at an angle.
@kylestamey21425 жыл бұрын
Are you sure you know anything about turf? In your first example it would have fit fine if you had the fibers oriented correctly. You had them facing one another. Turn it 180 degrees and they fit fine. If it is a quality product 1 or 2 seams are plenty enough for a good seam.
