Arbalest is like taking a sniper, and trading in instant shot for higher AA and a SUPER versatile zoom level (IE low). I popped off pretty hard while grinding for Komodo. Arbalest is pretty dirty, really. Not as good as a high skill sniper, but... Much greater ease of use.

I actually use both the arbalest and Komodo on a regular basis with 2 enhanced targeting mods. It’s pretty good

I think people forget that LFRs are suppose to be in the Heavy slot. Whenever I used Arby, I got way more picks with it than when I used a sniper; anyone that has used it can't argue that fact, but they bring up the charge time like the target acquisition doesn't make up for it (also, the charge time is super short).

Well, I'd argue the best snipers can easily win gunfights against the best linear fusion rifle players but yea, they're still very easy to use because of the AA and hit boxes.

I think what makes this gun so broken is the fact that it's viable at any range. Like, other special weapons are outgunned by primaries outside their correct ranges. Snipers lose to primaries, up close, shotguns suck at range, fusions are hard to use point blank and impossible cross map. Arbalest is viable at literally all of those, if not ideal for them.

This wont change. It’s been that way since the last season. I am a main Arbalest user and I’ll tell you it requires skill to use it at close range or in 2 v 1 scenarios. This was a crucible match and was a low intensity match. If anything, it could use more range to be the best primary slot exotic in the game.

A easy fix for this is that you don't spawn in with ammo you have to get a least one kill that requires a ounce of skill before you cheese the entire lobby

This is why I think the matchmaking is still messed up. this happens to me all the time. every 4 to 5 matches I have 1 really really good game with a bunch of kills 30+ the other games I get an average 18 kills. then I have 1 game where I get pubstomped. it makes no sense and the game that I have 30+ kills is always a mercy game that's quick. theres always 1 person with a stupid high kd and everyone else a negative or barely positive kd. it's stupid, theres enough players to make things even and yet they are still not anywhere near even.

Not exactly anywhere near the highest aim assist but still very easy to hit with due to really low ramp up time. MIDA multi tool is the highest for sure. It has 100 aim assist vs arbalest which is somewhere in the 60s. Those mods give it that aim assist bump
