This is why the PGA has finally started cozying up to these creators. I probably spent more time watching this than any non-major this whole year, and will recognize and be cheering for these guys now more than 95% of the field on any other given day watching some tournament. Great content as usual. This is how you are going to keep golf relevant!

@BNatoAk what I enjoy about it is the mid shot talk getting to know their personality a bit , talking about how they want to play the different shots. Also watching PGA to see however many people tee off for the same hole one after another in stroke play is just really not that entertaining in it's self.

By far the best of the GG productions, which are already the best of KZbin (along with BBros). Love straight up stroke play, putting it all out and casually sprinkling in pros with the GG boys. I actually find it more fun to watch GG play on the same leveled playing field with the studs, and it by no means diminishes their respective games.

For anyone wondering, the lines between the green and collars are edging. They edge the outline of the greens every other week during the growing season to help prevent the different type of bermuda grass growing into the dwarfed bermuda grass on the greens. You could really see it on brads first putt

@@davidmolloy172I'm a superintendent and I love passing on information and helping others. Warm season grasses require so many little things. Warm season fairways on high end courses will circle cut fairways to reduce grain patterns from mowing. Luckily I manage bentgrass greens and zoysia fairways, I'm not a fan of bermuda. Hopefully the new ultra dwarf zoysia cultivars will replace bermuda greens in the future.

Aside from the fact that this was amazing golf and great spirits, what has really stricken me the most, and what one doesn't notice during the live coverages of Tour events, is how calm and level-headed these pros remain (at least to the outside), even when they quadruple or bonker one 50 yds into oblivion or get lip-outs or whatever. That's my takeaway from this. And from now on I'll be watching these guys more, when they are being covered in the media. Thanks a bunch guys.

Those were some nasty pins, & some diabolical chipping out of scuffed Bermuda - kudos to those who managed to get around under par. :) p.s. I don't care if they're pro or not, there needed to be a 2 minute training session at the first tee, where Luis lays down a 4ft x 6ft cone mat (fashion something out of a couple of yoga mats with a fecking huge camera symbol painted across it maybe) approximating the camera's field of view, showing where nobody can step for 8 secs after a tee ball has been hit. 2 warnings are allowed, but a 3rd strike means -Luis is allowed to launch at the offender with a machete- disqualification. I mean, no viewer who's become familiar with the concept of being able to actually *see* where the tee balls are going is keen to watch 3hrs+ of blurry footage of people's backs instead of golf shots. Cheers in advance for implementing this for future events. ;)

I know the chances are slim that Garret will see this, but if you do, Garret, I just wanted to say this is exactly what you need! Like you mentioned, playing the ball down and competing with stronger golfers will really elevate your game. Plus, it will give you a more accurate USGA handicap. The generous drops and conceded putts you do on the GoodGood videos might be holding you back, in my opinion. As a fan from Sweden, I’d also love to see Ludvig Åberg featured on the channel sometime!
@jameswyatt4443

@@jameswyatt4443 Thank you for the clarification! If the rounds where they take drops without hitting provisionals, play the ball up instead of down, and skip proper penalties aren’t counted towards their handicaps, then I apologize for my misunderstanding. Great video, GG. Good to show just how good these guys are, even against a +2-3 like G-Rat. And since Garret asked, I’ll give my .02 cents. A BIG difference between a scratch golfer and a Tour Player or top level D1, golf course management and club selection. That 450+ yard par 4 on the back, driver was NOT the play. Downwind, dogleg right, and fairway runs out at 320. Driving iron, hybrid, or fairway wood was the play all day on that hole. Another thing, with G-Rat i see on a regular basis is, trying to max out his 56 and 60 wedges to a middle or back pin, when the play is a knockdown PW or GW. Club selection and/or distance control is his kryptonite at the moment, because he’s been swinging as good as maybe we’ve seen.

Great video - enjoyed every second of it. Nice to sprinkle in a little serious golf with the fun and games. Nice job, editors!

Having played with and against a few of these guys, I can confirm they are damn good! National is so so hard and to fire -5 is a hell of a round out there.
