The Ad is well made, and honesty I do not think it would have been offensive It had simply led with the fact that it was a mcdonalds ad or atleast partnered with a charity meant to help people in that situation... revealing at the end that it was just about a fish sandwich does come off as extremely manipulative. Most people probably thought the ad was for something like a charity or other organization meant to help grieving children when they first saw it, and if a parent who recently lost their partner saw it, it might be an organization that could help their broken family. So they watch to the end only to find out: this is not an attempt to link you to resources if you are in this situation, or gather money for families who are going through this. Honestly, as far as the whole Arby's commercial mocking vegans go, all I'm going to say on it is this: If the crazier members of the vegan crowd are allowed to do things like... - Host 'funeral processions' in grocery stores in the meat sections for the animals - Harass people for eating meat - Make all sorts of emotionally-manipulative media and flyers trying to promote their cause - Hold demonstrations outside high schools, colleges and universities ...then it's only fair that businesses whose entire schticks revolve around serving meat get to make some humor at their expense. I mean, the crazy-vegans like to portray restaurants that serve meat and stores that sell meat as murderous hellholes bathed in the blood of the innocent, so why can't these places in turn portray vegans as mentally unsound individuals? I understand completely. It blew my mind when I saw kids with parents barely paying the bills demand and get expensive things. When I was a kid we had basically a coupon day every month. We'd go to a McDonald's and cut a gazillion coupons, then sort them, and then price compare. Some stores will price match an advertised price. By then I'm bored and tired. We then spent an eternity at the grocery trying to get the most for our money. Back then some stores would double the value of coupons. It was looked down upon to have a stack of coupons back then. We didn't go hungry at least. The getting to go to McDonald's was exciting. Unfortunately, it's much harder to get and use grocery coupons. You have to have a mobile, a mobile app, and those coupons are only for that store. Which means if a different store has a better price, that coupon is worthless.

I have a bad history with vegetarians and vegans. A couple of times a week during my second year of highschool I had to put up with a small but aggressive group of them who would terrorize the courtyard(there wasn't a proper cafeteria at my school) with the ”meat is murder” equivalent of a pep rally featuring graphic photos of slaughterhouses and animal abuse being forced upon any who dared to eat meat. It was like a scene from an 80's movie and it didn't matter how much people complained because the principal refused to ”infringe on their freedom of speech” because ”they weren't harming anyone”. I retailed once by sitting next to their main setup and ate a spread of as much meat based food as I could afford at the time from the roach coaches and was given what they called ”in school suspension” for harassment. Wasn't even premeditated, I was just sick of their shit so when I saw that they were setting up I did the same. By the end of it most of us were either eating in our classrooms or just tuned them out and I have a vague memory of licking gravy off a flyer before handing it back to whoever shoved it in my food a couple of times. I wouldn't be surprised if all of this actually boosted sales of burgers and chicken from the heart attack wagons.

I even have trouble with lamb/mutton, most pork cuts and most seafood. I'm even sensitive to water to the point where the Sparkletts brand is the only non distilled water I've found that doesn't destroy my insides if I drink it. We think I'm reacting to a chemical filtering agent that seems to be in everything including those cartridges for refrigerators. About all I can safely eat without at least some negative reaction is beef, chicken, onions, garlic, peppers and starches like rice and potatoes. The list of what I can't eat has been growing since my early 20s. Starbucks has a lot of shit storms, like those Christmas cups a couple years ago. Imagine being a Barista in Starbucks and 2-dozen people come in for coffee and say their name is Merry Christmas. You have to write that down and say it so many times because people are upset about a cup. Starbucks should just be happy it can charge people $20 for a cup of coffee, and that they have the worst size names for their cups.

Drugs.
@LukasSheshene13 жыл бұрын
HOW!?!
@StevenTLawson3 жыл бұрын
Pretty easy actually, see if you look at the burger it has loads of peppers on it and those actually contain quite a bit of sugar themselves. It has red and green peppers so that's about 6-8 grams of sugar, Burger Buns typically contains 4 grams, BBQ sauce tends to run about 6 grams. 5 grams for a double patty burger. The cheese surprisingly doesn't contain much sugar at all so it's negligible. The onions can be as low as about 4 grams but also up to 7 grams. Right there you have about 28 grams of sugar on average for just the basic ingredients, not counting anything that the company would do to increase sugar levels beyond that point. While a Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar which I think is a fairly well understood standard for a candy bar if you ask me is only 24 grams of sugar. So without even getting into extraneous ingredients like seasonings and such, this burger will have more sugar that a chocolate bar and that's if you picked up your stuff from a grocery store and cooked it yourself.
