Winterbite is arguably the most utilitarian weapon in the game. The secret is that you must pair it with a glaive-enhancing exotic armor piece like synthoceps. When you do, you can pretty much obliterate most things in the game, even f'ing freezing taken overload champs and you can stun-lock-freeze them just by hitting them over and over again (if you have ammo) until they're dead. And the ability to freeze an entire area with just one (pass over) shot is amazing.

You had a little bit of misinformation here, with the Leviathan’s Breath Catalyst it actually drops from weapon kills on Majors, and not ritual completions like most other Catalysts, I just got the Catalyst last week

Yes 100% agree on dragons breath. Even as a new player i love bringing this beast of a rocket launcher out, so fun to use to. I got mine free with the lightfall dlc, when i first got this game i then got all the DLCs. Just need to finish the nightfall campaign. Absolutely cant wait for the final shape, even though ive not even touched the witch queen compain the last DLC. Great game and so glad i jumped out my comfort zone to give it a try. Now its my top 3 games i play, Division2 being my home, but very much needed to open up game choices like skyrim. Im 54 and only been gaming for around 4 years since lockdown, and my family was seing i was struggling so got me a ps4 pro, and tbh was always skeptical about gaming, but now its just one of my 3 main hobbies, archery, guitar and gaming.

I'm concerned that 1k voices, have the same DPS and more total damage than Leviathan, can also stun bosses by ignition, and don't require precision, aren't even included in the honorable mentions.

All of it's damage comes from ignitions, if you have anyone that is causing ignitions it's bad. It's like a way worse version of Dragons breath

@@luckymec Okay bro. I tried it with Phry'zhia. I shot 1k voices solo and got 1.79 million damage. On the other hand, I fired it at the same time as my teammate's Dragon Breath and got 1.49 million damage. It's true that the damage has dropped by about 17%, but it still has higher DPS than Lament and sleeper.

@culmow9328 fair point, should have had more consideration for the honorable mentions. What would be the use case for it? I feel like dragons breath would just always be the better option for non crit bosses and for crit bosses like tormentors Levi/sleeper/whisper would be better

The catalyst for leviathan breath is from defeating major enemies not from ritual activities.

PLEASE dont use dragon's breath when in any team content, running a normal rocket or gl is much better, dragons breath is only really good in solo content because of its total damage and ammo economy

It does have good DPS too, as long as no one else is using it then it's very competitive in all content

@@luckymec It's usable definitely, but in something like pantheon where you're damage needs to be better than in normal content it just cant compete with meta options like a Edge transit rotation
