M.2 SSD will be my number recommendation especially if you have a lot of games or is a ps plus subscriber If your SSD don't have a built in heatsink, I'll also recommend heatsinks that are designed for PS5 like Sabrent or Elecgear. My ssd is wd sn850 but not the heatsink built in, nothing wrong with a compact 3rd party heatsink but i also bought and installed the sabrent heatsink.

Not a number 1, but I'd always recommend getting a console specific dust cover if you're like me and fully powerdown the console after each session. Obvs not appropriate if you have it in standby mode where ventilation is required. I think it definitely helps with dust build up, especially in hard to access areas of the console. Other than that, definitely a good pair of gaming headphones is a must.

I think a decent headset is the number one accessory. Just for the added immersion and sound quality whilst playing. The rest are nice to haves I feel. That said I have just got the black plates and am looking at the Arctis 7P+ to go alongside my 7X's for the Xbox.

I’ve never had a good headset for a console, they are all either insanely bulky, or just have crappy audio. I can never seem to find a really good one and i want to for my ps5

@@Platinum199do more research and be prepared to pay more money. I've had my hyper x cloud 2 headset for about 3 years now and it's a very good headset audio and build quality. At the time it was the most I paid for a headset and the difference was immediate. Im currently about to upgrade headsets so I recommend watching alot of videos and reviews from multiple sources. I've heard a lot about astro a50 so far so this is what I'm currently leaning towards buying. They are $300 so I'm gonna do more research before buying. Good luck

@@JERM92 if i have to pay $300 for good headphones for the ps5 I’d rather get a better speaker setup if I’m honest. Wish the ps5 just properly supported Bluetooth. I have a really good pair of headphones I got for just $99 but the ps5 doesn’t connect to them due to having no Bluetooth audio support

For like a year I used the logitech and the steelseries but they were just too uncomfortable and made my ears sweat a lot a they gave me a lot of headaches.. so recently I switched to the apple earphones since I wanted to give them a go and LET ME TELL YA.. THEY ARE SUPRISINGLY BEAUTIFUL.. I would have never thought! the sound quality is literally comparable to the high quality headsets I had.. ZERO HEADACHE AND JUST TOO COMFY yessir (they even support 7.1 surround and it works amazing I play a lot of fps games and they work just as good as the headsets I had wth! I would have never thought, its crazy lol just for 20 bucks you’re going to get a premium and almost complete earphone..)

I love my OG PlayStation logo colourway for the PS Logo stickers. Gives it that nostalgic ps1 looking vibe... as for the rest of the accessories it's gotta be the Scuf and the Headset on the essentials list

Loved the video. With the headset recommendations, ever since I switched from my Arctis 7X to my Turtlebeach Stealth 700 G2s, to the Astro a40 TR w/ the MixAmp Pro TR, there's zero comparison. The only way up from there is a set of audiophile headphones and a dedicated USB mic. Definitely looking forward to getting those wood controller holders and icons though.

A charging dock is a must for a ps5 slim owner cause if you wanna use the regular charging cable the port it's right above the disc drive so changing games you gotta go around and under the cord.

I have seen several of these PS5 top accessories videos, a lot of them suggesting aesthetic stuff like colour plates that are just a waste of money and none of them mention 2 of the most basic and helpful accessories to protect the console and extend its lifetime: a dust cover (specially if on vertical stand) and a surge supression plug in. Go figure.

I've been using the astro A50s for almost 3 years and with my ps5 since launch. I have owned the 7ps and imo they are so bad compared to the A50s. For me it was the lack of volume. I didn't even know the A50 don't support hdmi2.1 but I can even notice. I'm really waiting on that next gen astro in any case. For now il just use my a50s and soundbar on my gigabyte auros 43vu 📈

I use something called USB DAC Audio Converter. That’s will allow you to use your optical cable without worrying about HDMI 2.1 I’ve been using with my a50 and it works very well.
