Agree a pointless exercise, what needs to be done is walk submersed up to the ankle depth in water. The only ones found so far that are waterproof are Merrell Nova 3 GTX until youve walked 210 miles

I love my Mizunos Wave Mujin TL Gore-Tex. They are super comfy and breathable. A bit chunky but I like that :)

Anyone with even the slightest experience with serious rain or other wet conditions can tell you that if there is one thing that serves almost no purpose, it's (very) low cut waterproof/Gore-Tex shoes. No point in waterproofing the shoe if the water can just come in at the collar.

As a delivery driver I can promise you low cut shoes with waterproof is amazing. Yes if you are standing in the rain then yes water will get in but at minimal. I have been using nike winflo/pegasus shield shoes for 5 yrs and it awesome to not have wet feet bc I stepped in a puddle in a parking lot. So yes there is definitely a reason for short cut waterproof shoes.

I think you forgot one of the best options, especially for places with rain but not that heavy like Berlin, like portugual, my home country, and other southern european countries with sunny and rainy spring and fall: the NB 574 Goretex. You can get in so many colors! I love them for rainy days, they are great shoes, some with great suede, but at a price point you don't mind them getting dirty a bit faster than other ones. Keep up with the great videos 👊

Thanks for the suggestions! I currently have a pair of black Adidas Supernova 1 GTX. Haven't needed to wear them much yet, but I do like how sleek they look. I have a Columbia Trailstorm Ascend WP that is low-cut, but that's a hiking shoe, and the ASICS Gel-Kayano 28 AWL (all winter long), which is a water-resistant running shoe. I'd like to get another waterproof shoe at some point. Also, greetings from a native Berliner :D

Personally, I find low tops not very weather resistance and is far easier and likely sooner in getting your feet and socks wet compared to a mid or high top sneaker.

I love the kith x-t6, burnt henna , however they're just too narrow for myself unfortunately. My feet are average width, but when I sized 1/2 up there was way too much room in the toe box. I want to love these but my feet say no. Those black gore Tex are also perfect. It's a shame they're only for narrow feet. I quite like the Notre X-t4's but those aren't gore ex. I don't believe any xt-4 gore Tex's exist.
