Imagine if SuperGT decided to bring some of their modern race cars to Goodwood both from GT500 and GT300 (those with JAF-GT300 regulation specifically). Those cars are blisteringly fast especially the GT500.

@@joe125ful it doesn't just have a blunt all-wheel drive with a constant 50-50 distribution.the smart atessa ets system smoothly transmits torque to the front axle only when the rear wheels slip or the accelerator pedal is pressed hard,the system transmits torque to the front axle depending on the slip,up to 50%.the GTR was also equipped with smart steering rear wheels that helped the car turn even in the steepest turn at high speed.

I just rewatched to find the Calsonic GTR and i was not dissappointed. Amazing driver ringing out the cars talent. That car made history when new and being the fastest factory style bodied car made history in this day

I was thinking the same thing and then I noticed it says "JUDD V10" on the air intake above the driver so you were spot on, although bear in mind the Judd engine in the BMW is a V8. Still two absolutely amazing sounding engines.

When a car made in 1989....and doesn't even have a full GT aero bodykit yet it's doing 1:18 while modern GT3 cars doing at 1:17....sure 1 second is A LOT in racing...but still....it's mind blowing how monstrous the R32 is....let's not forget the fact it's a handful to handle that monster as well but point being is, it still did it at an amazing time.

The mechanical grip of that group A r32 is mind boggling, the car has almost no aero mods at all and is still hangs with or even exceeds other cars with double or triple the amount of downforce of the skyline!

When a 90's Japanese Sports is a second slower than an 80's Formula One car really does show how in the two decades of motorsport in very different classes has gone bat shit crazy, and the treatment for cars that have aerodynamics like a brick in comparison to a purpose-built 'Ground Effect' vehicle is an astonishing achievement on it's own to those engineers and drivers. Awesome. Awesome. And did I mention awesome?

Okay, Calsonic must have bee on a whole other level because that is just quick. Like holy shit, that's really fast Just seeing how close it was to the times of a LEGENDARY F1 car like the Lotus 77 just goes to show how fast that car is. Maybe with a better setup, a tad bit more power, and a tad bit better lines, that R32 could easily be on par or faster than said F1 cars
