Tzolkin was my #1 game for a long time! It definitely worked its magic on me when I played it and I only played games from the big collection of games from my dad. Now I have a big collection myself and love finding new gems which instantly find their way into my top 10! I also played Avalon so many times, while most games I play don't even get played 3 times because I play so many different games. Love Avalon, especially the memories it created.

Great video. For sale is truly a phenomenon. A pure and timeless classic.

Awesome video. Tzolkin is the game I usually say is my #1 board game, essentially for the same reason you said, it was the most innovative and unique game, and I was just enamored that someone could create such a game and it still be fun and not overwhelming to me.

Great list. Mind are 1. Quantum - weird one but just happened to be what my borther brought. All I really knew was catan and this blew my mind. I still love it 2. Reaistence - same reason you said 3. Codenames - quick social and challenging 4. Pandemic - wait? I can play together with my wife?? 5. Scythe was the nail in the coffin for reasons you said about tzolkin. A game like that existing just blew my mind

Fascinating video: Many of the games you were talking about were ones that also drew me in; Carcassone, Lords of Waterdeep, Lord of the Rings, Marvel Legendary. Sadly I still have never played For Sale and have not played Avalon. Although I did play what I think preceded it- The Resistance. I was also seduced by Catan- I bought the 5 player expansion and the pirates & explorers expansion which I absolutely loved.

Loved the video! Yeah, played Carcassone with my brother as teenagers. But it was brutal and mean, as i remembered 😅 didnt liked to loose against my more cleverer brother haha Played a lot chess even bevor that. Liked to play games eith family and friends. Of course played Magic with my brother and friends.. So later played warhammer invasion with some friends alot. Who i sought out everything as a lcg. In my twenties later on i played also a lot the resistance avalon, which also has kind of nostalgic/sentimental place, because was great meeting in a big group, playing this game a lot and other party and light games as well. Monopoly had its place as little teenager as well, and me and my brother invented our own version in boring holidays 3weeks on an island 😂😂 later played also a lot fairy tale, as one of thr first dtafting games. Likes it alot. And played a lot of hero realms, after star realms. There were also some roleplaying games i was involved with and im keeping interest in that, maybe starting something again with some sword and sorcery light systems =D No i have too many games, not so much friends that want play this regular. But on the way to install a regular boardgamenight again, which i love! I will give for sale a chance, to play it, instead of selling it right away 😅 thanks for the nice video. Of course, i forgot/left out a lot of other games i very much liked to play 😊greetings fron switzerland

Tzolkin the Mayan Calendar is one of my favorites. The asymmetrical powers in the expansion make it a top 5 game for me. I think this game deserves a deluxe edition reprint! What games would you love to see a deluxe version of?
@ChairmanoftheBoard9 күн бұрын
It's a classic. Deluxe editions don't do much for me but if I had to choose, I'd say something like Saint Petersburg

I generally rate the chairman's picks, so I feel I really should get to try Tzolkin Great video again Dan Out of interest, how come BITS instead of FITS? The latter tends to get higher ratings,but I haven't played BITS. I see it on the shelf each video!

I don't actually rate BITS at all haha. It's my brother's game. I'm not aware how it differs to FITS
