The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is however not that difficult compared to basically all other Zelda's. Sure, it takes a lot of time to fully complete... But the only really hard places are probably Trial of the Sword and that single Korok Seed in Lurelin Village where you need to get a stone on a roof. The rest takes A LOT of time, but isn't really hard.
@AiorosSagittarius2 жыл бұрын
I agree. However, to many people the difficulty may lie precisely in that lenght. Especially nowadays, where attention spans seem to grow ever shorter and life in general is so fast paced. So, I think one can say BotW IS hard to complete for some. Not because of skill required, but because of the dedication to stick with it for hours and hours. Even in a game as good as BotW. I mean, 900 bloody Koroks...
@JohnSmith-yf5bk2 жыл бұрын
I hated that game because of how you literally could skip the main bosses to beat the game. I visited Hyrule Castle out of curiosity when I hadn’t been to the Goron place yet and was literally so angry and sad when Ganon showed up. You hadn't mentioned the difficulty in getting the Fierce Deity's Mask in Majora's Mask, which I think is one of the biggest "completion bonuses" of all time. In order to get it, you need to collect every other mask in the game. I don't think that part is too hard, but then there are the mini-dungeons in the moon which are very hard to get through. I believe the Goht dungeon is the hardest since you need to keep yourself from falling off those ramps. It has taken me tries and tries to get each time with only a few cases where I get it in one go. If you're trying to get the heart pieces in those mini-dungeons, that makes things even harder as I especially have to avoid falling off the ramps in the Goht dungeon. The Gyorg one is also difficult since you need to know which path to go, but it is especially hard in the 3DS remake as you need to activate the gates to get through and then jumped from the water at the right time.

When it comes to Zelda I started with a link to the past on the SNES back in the 90s when I grew up. Link's Awakening which I had the original game boy version I could just not figure out how to get past certain dungeons. Just could not figure out where to go. I've beaten ocarina of Time and I've beaten four swords adventure but that's more of a spin-off. I've also beaten a link between worlds. However when I eventually played the original NES Zelda I found it really hard and it really had more to do with the controls. There's not anything wrong with the controls it's just that instead of links sword swinging from one side to the other so that you can hit enemies who are diagonal from you just pops up right in front of them so you have an incredibly limited range when you attack and because you can't move diagonally it was just so hard for me to adapt to it. Zelda 2 I've wanted to give chance after chance to but I just cannot enjoy that game for some reason

The hardest part of any Zelda game I did was the Goron Dance which I can't beat because the dance moves are random so remembering a set of moves in a specific order is useless as well there is a 2 second time limit to do a dance move which if you screw you once have to start from the beginning. The legend of zelda is super hard, and I refused to have a guide for it and I literally went around bombing every wall and burning every tree (no exaggeration), and there was still a few things I only found when reading about it. I've also never been more proud than when I completed zelda 2, that game is pure evil and if you do commit to playing it you'll either rage quit early on or develop some kind of weird Stockholm syndrome where you start liking it (I open it sometimes just to mess around in the world and I never thought I'd play that game for fun). I'm on ocarina now, the 3D controls are jarring to get used to after so much 2D gameplay 😅 (Edit: my quick opinion on the other 2 games are A link to the past is long but the story is great and a welcome change after the first two. Link's awakening as well the strength is really the story and the music design. The trading sequence is fun (as long as you never put the game down bc you might forget a person who dropped a clue early on that they want a letter or a flower) and the ending is so strong, plus both have a really fun and challenging final boss)

@schwindsichtigaderechte5293Ай бұрын
Reading the comments makes it obvious that "difficult" is a loose term here. It's more about how frustrating things can get. I finished the Oracle games and beat their Ganon, but getting all rings seemed too random and pointless to me. Ocarina of time, Link's awakening and a Link to the past are a breeze to play through, their design is mostly timeless and there isn't any ridiculously random or unfair stuff in them. The original Legend of Zelda is tough to beat in both quests w/o a guide, but if you methodically and meticulously work yourself through the screens, you'll get there eventually(taking notes and drawing maps is highly recommended!). I think BotW killed me the most often just due to its sheer length and excellent fighting AI for enemies, but imagine trying to 100% blind that, what a nitemare! I'm playing Majora's mask on the switch for the first time currently, so far it's okay, but I hate the Goron rolling controls and camera (I know, it's the same as in OoT, but it just felt better there, can't explain why), that is some dated, bad design. I tried the Adventure of Link a long time ago, I didn't feel like it was that hard per se, but it just didn't seem fun enough to be worth it, so I never finished that one. Can't speak for the rest on this list, but I know WW has a ridiculous amount of sailing to get all chests.

I’ve 100% ocarina of time like 12 times and I’ve also done randomizer so I know where everything is lmao. The trading quests are a pain in the ass. I also did it under 11 hours. Only Zelda game I’ve 100%

thing is: few kids I knew went into zelda 1 blind. We had nintendo power, or knew someone who did. we had basic hints about here and there. the rest was exploration. because at the time, what else did we have to do?

A Link to the Past is a pretty easy going game by any definition and for any era. 🤨

In my opinion... 2d zelda is more difficult than 3d zelda, especially A Link Between Worlds

Majoras Mask was brutal for me mostly because of the timer.

Majoras Mask was the hardest for me but if I didn’t have the tingle tuner for wind waker that would’ve been the hardest game for me 😭

I personally found Minish Cap and those Kingstones and Figurines absolutely terrible to complete

In what world is Link's Awakening considered harder than Lttp?

I did BOTW in master mode a few months ago and that was a "one and done" thing for me. Interesting but VERY hard. The only Zelda game I've ever played and hated was MM. Had the worst time with that one. The worst part for me was the mini games. Had me in a rage most of the time 😡

I honestly expected to see Majora's mask higher

I hate to say it but completing BotW is way harder than Zelda 2. you pretty much get everything by the time you finish the game. but in botw you have a huge world of optional collectibles that are easy to miss

You forgot to mention the Gallery in Wind Waker.

uhhhh no mention of the figurines for Wind Waker?? definitely the toughest and most annoying to 100%, which requires the multiple playthroughs of the game, the Tingle Tuner, and permanently missable photos

It's possible to get them all in a single playthrough, but there are some that you only get one chance at and need to know about them in advance.

Oracle of Ages. Of all the handhelds I've beaten and come back to this one will always get me eventually. Crown Dungeon is fun yet challenging but once you get to the Goron game nonsense and beyond, I'm suffering. And I hate hearing people whine about the water temple or great bay temple. Try Jabu Jabu sober, let alone after a couple of beers. It's unmitigated hell. Oh, and Zelda 1 anytime level 6 +

Wind Waker should be higher they forgot about the pictograph sculpture quest where you have to take a picture of EVERY ENEMY ITEM AND CHARACTER! with only 3 memory slots

OOT is a good game but it has A LOT of problems...

Hardest is def Majora's mask. Then botw. But if we talking hardest to 100% def botw first. Just the main quest line is so short an easy

I don't think Adventure of Link is that hard of a game. Time consuming in the beginning in the game to harvest experience points and boost up your skill level before you do the temples and the game becomes much easier.
