Great video Marc, and I agree - I always find these kinds of videos interesting, and they often throw up a surprise or 2. Not least, you owning a Burzum album AND having bought it from Cash Converters! 😂 Don't think I've ever actually bought anything from there, though I do sell to them occasionally when I've been desperate for beer tokens or gig tickets! 🤣 I shall look forward to parts 2 and 3... I had a good friend who worked in CC… & when they ever had a batch of CDs come in… he’d ring me & let me know! Very interesting video. I enjoy channels like yours and I agree, it’s not about showing off your collection, it’s spreading the word and sharing what you have. Bloody collectors 😂 It's always interesting to see these type of videos and definitely a surprise at some of the prices things sell for. I do think Discogs has ruined the chance of finding many bargains out in the wild now, but it does stop us from being ripped off, too. I might have to get involved in this thread 🤔 Cheers, Marc 🤘

Yeah… there’s not many real bargains to be had out there in the wild nowadays is there eh mate! Long gone are the days of finding a Ltd Ed ‘Burzum’ CD for £2! Does make me sad tho yano… coz as a collector one of the greatest feelings is finding a rarity & only paying buttons for it! I’d love to see a video from you with your top ten Sean! I just looked up the Wartooth vinyl. Holy crap, almost 140 Euro... mine is signed by the band as well. BVD sent me that when it came out. Thank you Brendan! Not going to sell it anyways, hehe... The writing in the Burzum CD is in Norwegian and German by the way. I´ve never seen this version of "Pleasure To Kill"! Looking forward to the vinyl edition!

Wow… so the vinyl of the ‘Wartooth’ album is really expensive now eh… I’d have liked a vinyl version too… but nevermind eh at that price, lol! Brendan is a good bloke! Really interesting to see the most valuable CD's in your collection Marc! I guess it depends on what version you have right, because I'm sure you can get reissues of most of these that cost dirt cheap. For a brand new CD I've never paid more than £14, I think anything beyond that is a ridiculous price! Really awesome to hear some of these were gifted to you, like you said it really shows the generosity in the VC! Nice one man, look forward to part 2! 😊🤘🏻

Yeah… unless you’re a hardcore collector of original presses… or you’re an old f*^ker like me who bought them when the first came out… reissues are definitely the most affordable way to buy a lot of late 80s/early 90s Metal releases! This community is like no other mate… the generosity & kindness is simply off the scale… & I’ll eternally be grateful for all the friends I’ve made! Thanks as always for watching Josh!🤘🏻

Haha that's fair enough man! For me, just owning the album is enough, I'm not too worried about what version it is. I know some people only want originals and that's fine. But yeah, reissues or remasters are the easiest and cheapest way of picking up these older albums. Oh yeah definitely! It's incredible to meet so many fantastic kind people such as yourself! No.1 surprised me. Great top 10 none of which I own 😅. Such great gifts included in this lot but that's what the vc is all about with so many great people. Wouldn't mind getting my hands on that Immolation comp one day. I knew I'd seen someone show that Burzum album from Cash Converters before but I'd never have guessed it was you 😅. I wouldn't mind knowing what my top 10 is so I'd better get around to putting it all on discogs in the (near?) future. As always it's good to see you mate I hope to be at least watching more vc videos as life starts to settle down to a new norm. 🍻🤘🏻

I have never picked up music for personal gain and never really look into it but it’s always kool when you find out that you have something rare and sought after. I do have a Lovebites cd worth close to $400 and a Flotsam And Jetsam No Place For Disgrace promo album with no album art. Just white cover with the band and album name on it which in my opinion is priceless. I have been meaning to pickup that Gorguts album but just havnt got there yet. Great to see you brother😀🤘

Kreator was a surprise, really. Completely different disc design than the later versions all of which include the EP tracks. I think the most expensive CD in my collection is a Nuclear Blast America pressing of Prophecies of A Dying World by Revenant. I look forward to the LP episode of this; great video man, cheers!

‘Kreator’ was a real surprise to me too tbh… but yeah this version doesn’t include the ‘Flag Of Hate’ ep like most of the releases do! That ‘Revenant’ CD is a very nice piece in your collection mate… hard to find that one! Thanks so much for watching… I appreciate it!🤘🏻

That decomposed album is amazing. Read about them in terrorizer magazine back in the day! Got the album from a mail order page from the magazine. One of my defining records that got me into heavy music. Great video mate🤘🏻

They were a brilliant band & severely overlooked imo too! We had the chance to play with them back in the early 90s… but for whatever reason it didn’t happen… which has always made me sad… coz I rated them highly! Nice story as to how you got into them too… thanks for sharing that my friend!🤘🏻

I only put mine on Discogs a few years ago & you’re totally right about it being daunting! I used to set aside a couple of hours each day to input my collection… & it took weeks & weeks! Love these videos mate. Like you say it's just interesting to see what people have in their collections, I disagree though this is a all about showing off and quite right I say, we all have collection and the videos are our way of showing off - in a good way of course! I'd love to get a copy of that Gorguts album, one of the few death metal debuts I really connected with. Blimey those filthy 'orrible CDs certainly go for a pretty price don't they, it's amazing to think CDs ever got to be so sort after.

Given the prices, I'm grateful for reissues. Being a collector, I like limited editions but don't collect them for the value that would go up, hence I gave up and sold my picture disc collection.

For me 1. The Stranglers Peaches Blackmail Sleeve Bought for £600 sells for between £1 thousand to £2,000 2. JJ burnel Girl From the Snow Country UK withdrawn Sleeve bought for £680 sells for £900plus 3. The Stranglers Five Minutes France bought for £550,sells for £900 to £1k. For me

Yes,my ones are down to numbers. The sleeve got pupled,due to the logo being too much like Sex Pistols. The people incharge of it thought to keep some. No one knows the exact figures. But it has estimated 50 to 70 legitimate ones. There has been lots of fakes over the years too. The withdrawn JJ single in 1981 they tried to capitilise on the punk movement as they thought it would be coming to an end. JJ was asked what he thought about hes new single "Girl from the Snow Country" JJ didnt know anything about this at the time and said what new single? He then went to pull the single due to it be a "Demo" he found the shop were they were in London and took the box. So about 20 are in existence French five minutes is just the stock french release with a different picture sleeve but finding a copy has proven hard since 1978 again around 20 copies have been found I like thrash/death metal too but just get the standard releases

Cool video. Was 91 the first time Kreator Pleasure to Kill was issued on cd? I have the album that I got in high school in the mid 80s. Just curious. I have a large record collection and could babble on all day about release dates, pressings etc. But I'm completely lost when it comes to cds. Cheers.

I presume that this ‘Kreator’ CD is a very early press… as most of the versions I’ve seen include the ‘Flag Of Hate’ ep… & this one doesn’t! I do try to keep up with different pressings on releases… but I’m far from knowledgeable tbh! If you’re a record collector please watch out for my vinyl top ten video coming soon!
