You forgot the overpowered perk saboteur. Back in the day, sabboed hooks didn't come back, so the killer would end up only having basement hooks to use for the whole match

Something to note about Tinkerer: the first iteration with higher percentages was multiplicative, and the second iteration with lower percentages was additive. In essence, second Tinkerer was stronger, despite the lower numbers, due to how they were applied.

4:50 The worst match I've ever had in all of my time in DBD was due to this perk. I was Freddy. It was a SWAT swf team, all meta, constant bm. The lullaby doesn't count as the terror radius, it was *LITERALLY* impossible to pull off any mind game, they had perma-aura reading on me. Such bs. This was a few years back, so glad to see it gone.

NOED is fine where it is. It's the killer's version of DS. Where DS punishes killers for tunneling, NOED punishes survivors for gen rushing.

balanced landing was bugged for a long time because it didnt provide the stagger effect and most of its sprint boost was therfore useless. it was mid to late 2017 iirc when it was kind of fixed and with the release of the Demogorgon it removed the passive stagger

The problem with Circle of Healing isn't that it allows people to heal fast, it's that it is infinite. Boons should work on a token system. Blessing a totem consumes one token, transferring an active boon to a new totem can be done for free, but if the killer kicks the bones you lose that stack. Max of 1/2/3 stacks. That would most likely completely fix the perk and boons in general.

I main MoM and Circle of Healing in solo queue because I’m a real altruistic player who tries to lower frustration in survivors now that I’m a really solid player. I know how it feels to be destroyed over and over again and just having a horrible game. I’ll never forget the day I was about to rage quit but someone running MoM, Sabo, Breakout and Circle of Healing came in and gave me a great game.

The reason object was also dumb was because it ruined any stealth killers. Also you didn’t fully mention why MOM and DS were so broken. You basically had to get hit 3 times to go down just to free yourself, and need to be hit again. This all while there were true infinites and very strong pallets making 3+ gen chases very easy.

The funny thing is, that some of these perks weren't as OP then as they'd be now, considering for example how much better survivors had it, super fast vaults and what not. Still super OP sounding in hindsight, but not when taking in all the aspects back in the day.

Also there is a reason Noed got changed into a hex perk, to have counter play. Many survivor perks have counter play, some Dont, some items don’t, but it’s hard to balance them without making them obsolete. So using this information we have decided to nerf Pig

I will make try to make an arguement for each point you have made -SWF, unless they are being sweatlords, you can win against most SWFs using their friendship against them. You cant nerf SWFs no matter how hard you can try. People will still try to queue snipe each other if playing in groups gives them some disadvantage -BNP, You should just pay attention to the lobby you are in, if 4 people switch to toolboxes last second you can close the game to dodge the lobby, pretty easy and if you go into the match knowing they have 4 toolboxes you are literally asking for it -DH All it does is give a bit of distance, if you swing at injured survivors you are asking for it. If they use it in a loop they get one more loop or make it to one more place, they sacrificed not bringing other exhaustion perks and if you know they have deadhard you can use it against certain tricks they may pull -Boons Only unbalanced one is circle of healing, which I agree needs nerfs. The devs have said themselves that they plan on nerfing it in future patches. Just endure the pain for now -Killers Should have at least one broken perk So you think that because all the other things here exist killers should have arguably the most annoying perk be active permanently instead of tied to the hex totem? As said before, if you desperately need noed to be permanent, you need to re-evaluate your thinking. If you get into the situation where you are allready losing the game and rely on Noed to have a chance you are just not very skilled at the game

I feel like that'd do barely anything. Just...how often are the hex totems still ALIVE by that point at any rank but bronze? Even in bronze? Rarely if ever, if it is still up, unless it's a Devour Hope they hadn't noticed yet about to pop off the things likely still up because the survivors don't care about it. Survivors have so much cheap stuff and second chances, Killer gets to have this one comeback perk that can be entirely destroyed by survivors that only functions at a point where your probably only going to get one more kill. Usually it only winds up stopping survs from saving a single survivor that they don't need to save regardless. Whenever I've played survivor, I felt like if it's at the point where it's "cheap" it's been a really fair game of back and fourth and it's likely the killer was gonna get that down before ya opened the door regardless, just that it happened faster. MAYBE best case scenario he uses it to down someone, rush the last survivor before they open the door and get them to, but at that stage they'd probably have you dead anyways without it being verrrry last second

I would honestly love if a lot of these perks reverted back, you don't nerf everything into the ground to add variet because when everything is crap the only useful perks are the practical ones, hence why dead hard ds unbreakable and adrenaline are so good, and why gen slow down perks are good with killers, the boosts from the others are so mediocre in comparison, and they make the game stale as hell because all those perks don't change the interactions between survivors and killers, it just lengthens or shortens it. Very poor balancing team at dbs rip

@@t4k3ntf Play as Nurse or Wraith. As Nurse, just blink-hit and it won't count as a token, hit them right out of your power as Wraith: Counts as a power attack and so won't give them a token. I remember it being quite annoying facing primarily Wraiths, Nurses, and Insta-saw Billies durring that time since power attacks wouldn't give tokens to Mettle, (it took them about a month to fix Nurse + Wraith) but yea... I forget just the sheer amount of new players to DbD that haven't experienced the hell that is this game (For referance I've played since Myers came out in 1.2.1) and stuck with the game throughout all of it's hilariously shitty updates.

Hey azhymovs, just a little correction about Enduring. The old 75% used to be applied to the recovery rate of the pallet stun, which goes by the formula: (Stun Duration) * 1/(1 + 0.75) = 2 * 1/1.75 ≈ 2 * 0.571 = 1.142s Now, Enduring straight up just halves the stun duration, which is actually a slight buff to the perk.

So, the formula BHVR decided to use in most of the speed/efectiveness calculations for perks and addons is the one below: "Final result" is equal to the "action duration" times 1 divided by the sum of 1 and the modifier(s). In math, we get: "Final result" = "Action duration" * 1/(1 + "modifier") Its very important to keep in mind the keywords "speed", "efectiveness" and "rate" here, since its what (mostly) indicates the use of the formula. For example, this applies to the perks "Iron Maiden" and "Coulrophobia". In case of the old Enduring, we have the normal stun duration at 2 seconds, and the modifier was 75%, or 0.75. So, we just need to put the numbers in the formula, and we get: "Action duration" = 2 "Modifier" = 0.75 "Final result" = 2 * 1/(1 + 0.75) The first step is always to do the operations inside the parentheses, so we do that: "Final result" = 2 * 1/(1.75) Now, the next step is to calculate 1/(1.75), which will result in a "broken" number, so we aproximate it to 0.571. Therefore: "Final result" = 2 * 0.571 = 1.142 seconds Nowadays, Enduring takes the total stun duration, which is 2 seconds, and halves it, resulting in a "Final result" equal to 1s. Since old Enduring made the stun duration 1.142s and the new Enduring makes it 1s, the new Enduring is slighly stronger, because the stun is shorter than before. Hope this makes it easier to understand!

The second iteration of prove thyself was really stupid. It stacked with itself giving all survivors working on a gen up to a 60% speed boost on it *TO EACH SURVIVOR* if all 4 survivors were on it. I always felt gross if I brought prove, and someone else also had it Because gens went by insanely fast

@@anttheknee64 Same, now when I play as survivor I literally get tunneled 90% of the time, the game is way to bright for me who used to be a blendete main and the game is so miserable to play that it makes me rage and depressed every new game. Have been gone for straight up a year since the new rank system is the worst thing that happened to this game and I get team mates that make me loose all the games even tho I’m a rank 1 main and even back than have always been. It’s disgusting that I have to play with mates that probably installed this game a few days ago and still go into lockers. Playing this game is like cutting of your own d and than feeding it to your pet to see it’s reaction. Nurse and spirit are still broken af yet they rework dead heart. Back than I feel like I actually had a chance to win especially since you at the very least got rank 6 mates when rank 1, now I straight up get rank 20 mates every match. Not even once a day I get an actual good team and most of my games consists of me doing everything than dying because nobody else is willing to do gens, being chased and cleansing hex totems. I basically do it all at the same time. Once the killer leaves my mates drop like flies. I feel like I should also play meta perks again like dead heart since otherwise I’m not making it out

I've tried most of these perks on my main character, the one I find the most balanced is object of obsession. This is basically giving the killer a 5th perk, once he realises you have object he will use it against you, every few seconds he'll focus to see where you are, whether you see him too or not matters very little here, this helps him more than it helps you, unless you play as the prick who intentionally antagonised killers. Great video mate, always at high standards

New object is so great to identify which aura perks the killer has. A nurse's calling, lethal pursuer, barbecue, i'm all ears, ... It's cool. You can also use it as old object if you stand next to a totem if the killer has undying too.

Let's party" only one I can see do that is a Meg with a flashlight and decisive strike plus sprint burst. Shed need those all to survive the upcoming tunnelling and face camping that's for sure going to happen. Last time I saw a Steve with object I used no hooks on him, just caged and mori. Side rant: I actually bought pyramid head for the hook abilities negation. Sure I lose who I hook but I 90% of the time find them again anyway with spies and punish with I'm all ears. God forbid they haven't broken my haunted grounds cuz that's when the real fun begins (cages for everybody!)

God I still remember that first week of *E V E R Y O N E* running MoM, shame they didnt keep the stack gain for getting Safe unhooks when it's nerf hit Live Server, It would've made it a bit easier to get it to proc more consistantly instead of relegating it and Ash to a Meme at this point.

mom was stupid because on strong killer like nurse/spirit/huntress it didnt even work because they were special attacks and weak killers who already have it tough suffered the most. a design trend that lasts to this day, strong killers getting buffed and weak killer get kicked further into the dirt

I really hate that Object got gutted only because of swf. It was my favorite perk to run on survivor mainly because I hate stealth killers. I always just used it in solo queue and it was kinda bad for your team tbh.

my favorite killer is Decisive Strike. my second favorite killer is Dead Hard. my third favorite killer is No One Escapes Death.

The reason the time-adjusted NOED of the past didn't work was because survivors would just hide until the 120 seconds were up before doing anything. Most of the time they didn't even wait to see if the killer had NOED. As soon as the exit gates were powered, everyone hid.

i believed around 2019, resilience also worked for killer powers (ex. u could remove traps from both trapper and piggy quicker) and also worked for survivors healing u, which is weird tbh

(main surv) for me the most powerful perk for killers is "starstruck" .... it is rarely played and I don't understand why

I play both roles. More killer than surv the last few months. I agree that starstruck is incredibly good. I use it on 60% of my killers. The problem is that trickster isnt an easy killer to play, and most people dont go out of their way to level him up for it. I dont like him much myself. I havent touched him since I unlocked his perks on the web and I dont intend to.

The only killer it's really good on is nurse because she can catch up immediately after a hook. Unless the hook is very close it gives them time to get away and reset. It's definitely fun to use and makes it so they can't body block

You forgot Saboteur because hooks and traps didn't respawn, Sprint Burst which activated every 40 seconds regardless of what you did (exhaustion wasn't even invented back then, neither was Bloodlust), Self Care which allowed you to heal in any chase because it was incredibly busted, Borrowed Time which applied both to the savior and the saved, Unrelenting which made missed hits not even matter (like Mad Grit now). Not to mention the fact that Tinkerer + Enduring made the killers VERY OP back in the day. The machine gun builds... they still give me nightmares or wet dreams (depends on which side I played). All in all, this is a nice try, but you missed the mark.

Honestly, i think with current meta in mind, old tinkerer should be re-introduced as a new perk, along with that, i think a unerving buff to make hit attack cooldown faster would also be cool as it buff an unused perk

The Dead By Daylights worst Era The Slowdown, Boon, SBMM, Hacker era (I know hackers have been in the game for years but the recent surge of hackers are horrendous, with SBMM being permanent its more worst for Survivor's and Killer's in highest MMR) The Boon Era is the worst for killer's as they must suffer quick heals, no auras/Scratch marks, and unlimited quick recovery. Plus not to mention they also have to deal with DS, Unbreakable, Etc. But due to the recent camping, tunneling and slugging they survivors must resort in using only meta perks to win. The slowdown Era is the worst for survivors as they must suffer, well more gen time. But due to the quick amount of gen pops, killer's must also resort only using Gen slowdown perks to postpone the game longer and get hooks. SBMM we all hate it but we also love it at the same time. Well most of you hate it due to sweaty matches. But at least it was better than the old ranking system where it places you in a random lobby with random players with either lowest to highest skill levels. I've played this game for 5 years and oh boy, I can't tell if I regretted playing it still or miss playing it. (Im taking a mental break from the game)

I am SHOCKED you did not mention Vigil. Yes that Vigil. Quentin's perk. FOR THOSE THAT DON'T KNOW, Exhaustion USED to be able to have it's timer ALSO tick while you were running. As such, it was not uncommon to have to deal with two to three Dead Hards/Sprint Bursts in a single chase. This is where Vigil came in. Exhaustion I BELIEVE used to be like 45-60 seconds. Vigil knocked off a full 15 seconds off that timer. So yeah, you of my fellow Killer mains think "Press E for Skill" is annoying NOW?! Imagine it like four times in a single chase. Vigil lost it's value when the "Great Exhaustion Purge" occurred. This was also when Balanced Landing got to the state of being OP like mentioned in the video. People swapped out Vigil for Balanced Landing and more or less kept their builds the same.
