Thanks for sharing this David. This is simply the BEST case study on Amazon Affiliate sites that I've came across so far. Lot of hands-on info and strategies that anyone can apply to their own sites right away. My only doubt on this is the proof of $20K revenue from the site (the screen shot of his Amazon affiliate account should simply provide the best evidence). Anyway thanks again for this good analysis.

Great, and thank you for the video. The only problem is that if you are new to KZbin such as myself, and you haven’t even hit 100 subscribers yet, you are not eligible for a personalized URL with KZbin and amazon associates/affiliate program will reject your request to join. I would love to review and beauty and craft products, but I can’t do it yet because I only have 42 subscribers as I have only been on KZbin for less than two months. There is a way around this, I actually called Amazon last week. Even if you make a word press free site and make five blog posts they hardly ever turn down word press.
@DavidUtke6 жыл бұрын
No way around it, you'll get to 100 eventually. KZbin is a tough game. I'm over 50 videos and have been publishing for over a year and I have yet to hit 1000. Its really up to KZbin if they like your video and promote it to a wider audience. I really don't know how to influence this or I would do it more :) This video on Amazon and my how to create a website video are responsible for 95% of my views and subscribers.
@AlishaConn6 жыл бұрын
David Utke Agree to a point, however I am concentrating on learning how to create better videos and better content. I spend hours on KZbin watching others and I have a lot to learn. I will remain positive.

Hey David, do these review websites actually test the products or do "research" by checking Amazon reviews or other review websites to come up with their lists and articles?
@DavidUtke5 жыл бұрын
Niche sites like this? Not so sure. Content writing is outsource usually. Say you wanted a post on "best espresso maker" - you could write it yourself or pay a writer. Then you would go and make adjustments to that piece of content as need be. It really depends on the website. Large publications like "the wire cutter" however absolutely test various products. Again, it depends on the site and the web masters subject matter level of understanding.

I'm in Australia Joined Amazon Affiliate program about 4 or 5 months ago ,I have uploaded thousands of products on Pinterest and made up a website just to sell Amazon products, I have over 53,000 views on pinterest a month,and out of that 1000 click links a month but as yet Amazon summery says only 34 clicks how can that be , I have invested countless hours uploading products and time, and not a dime paid to me,you say you get paid monthly but it states you get paid 60 days and only after the product has been delivered . I have written to them with no response , I have also gone to the affiliates review page which I found on the net with what seems a lot of people in the same boat , I have worked so hard on this and where I live its impossible to find on going work . and had great hopes something will come out of this , also my friend bought a $400 bread machine off there so I know there is some sales anyways hope you can help

You need to have a website before you can sign up. You'll also need to convert a few sales in the first month or so to stay in the program. So just focus on building a website and getting targeted traffic first.

Oh sure, you high light the text or the are of the plugin. Then click "inspect", then it will tell you what is being used for that section. Just highlight whatever it says when you're inspecting and do a Google search.

You can't get specifics. But you can corroborate from multiple sources, and you can verify a sites traffic roughly. Then apply a conservative conversion rate.
