Happy to see that you guys pointed out the big golden rule of pick up after yourself.

My tip is that you are there to have fun and see/show things and go home. Do not try to see how far you can push your regular drive vehicle or you may break it, or hurt someone. Enjoy don't damage and if you want to push it to extreme then build a dedicated off roader that you can hurt and fix.

Emme is another influencer to follow. Her time competing in the Rebelle Rally is truly inspiring. I've been following her from the beginning (laundry basket test 😉).

Nice review. Off roading can be such a blast - have started to get into it over the last 3 years. First saw you with Roman and Nathan on TFL a few years ago - you are a great, fun reviewer.

Big tip..remember that you need your vehicle to get to work and your everyday life. Only do what you are comfortable doing. I have seen guys total their $40k trucks and SMH. I just run forest roads to get to hiking trail heads.

Great tips! I would add that at least for a manual transmission, practice, practice, and practice! It makes everything easier.

Nice simple basics video and I am one to keep it simple because off road and camping should be simple and I have been doing it my whole life, literally I was going over Moab stuff when I was 3 and at 5 I knew I would be camping and 4 wheeling my whole life. I am 59 now and my wife and I are going camping/4Wheelin this coming weekend in Big Bend

12:28 might be the division of power through out thr car. A cigarette lighter might have a very limited amount of current, but the battery can give everything to the air pump.

Here in Northern VA, I have to drive like 3-4 hours to get to an off-road trail. I miss living in CO, where there were free off-road trails everywhere.
@bruh_ncoАй бұрын
That trail seems great and easy enough for newbies such as myself with a Bronco manual. Where is that trail located?

the cigarette air compressors are limited by the current of the cigarette plug, which is 10 amps. connecting directly to the battery allows you to draw higher current. the 88p you have is 20 amps, so it can output twice as much power.

Definitely knowing what you have is super important. If you have a smaller suv and not aggressive tires…don’t do stupid shit and get into a deep puddle. Lastly…something I’m trying to teach my wife. She has a great Jeep setup with a 2.5 in lift and 35” aggressive tires. DONT BE OVER CONFIDENT.
@jamesh1641Ай бұрын
And the most important one you didn’t mention - don’t bring your muddy rig to the local car wash and leave everyone else with piles of your mud. Be courteous 24/7. Not just on trail. ❤

Also why you should hand wash your own car. You never know what the car before you had on it that might scratch your car in the automatic car wash

I am guessing having to stop to lock the diffs is a manual bronco thing. I can lock the diffs on the fly. I do love how you can lock the front and rear differential’s independently.
@joetheadapterguyАй бұрын
I don't understand why that's blocked out? I could see a lockout if a wheel is spinning but you cannot always stop and lock especially on snow or sand.
@bearchow1929Ай бұрын
There are a few little flaws in the information given here. By the way, I've been four wheeling for 44 years, published in the old 4 wheeling print mags 16 times, and even though we pitted for a Class 8 off road truck (the old top tier class) in the 1990's I just don't get the part about speed being fun in recreational and exploring four wheeling. Seems silly and immature (wheee!). You also need an education about drive train ratio's. You were only about correct about the Bronco ratio discussion but you'd missing something that almost 100% are not aware of or overlook with regard to automatic transmissions. That front locker in the Bronco should be used carefully on that delicate independent suspension front end or you'll wipe out tie rods and half-shafts. We spent many years torching out independent suspensions from mini trucks to re-fit them with beam axles. Otherwise good information for beginners.
