Well I don’t feel bad for the gunners on the Star destroyers, because none of them did their jobs and they all decided to go on coffee break in the middle of a war. Now the guys on the Death Star were done dirty. I mean no rail, Reta burning laser light, and probably straight to stage 4 cancer. Also I’m willing to bet no health, dental or life insurance.

All of them, just because you are literally expendable anywhere that you work. Also, from playing Star Wars Jedi, Fallen Order; you learn that the pay stinks big time. From watching Star Wars Rebels, you learn that the Empire also doesn't do days off. From watching Bad Batch, you learn that you can't own personal belongings in some bases, making the work seem worthless to you.
