To be fair in regards to the young xehanort fight it technically only returns him back to only four health bars, as apposed to him having his full health in the very beginning if you fail to beat the clock before it resets

The way you described the Grim Reaper fight is actually the reason why it's one of my favorites, there is a certain rush I feel while managing MP and running around for the medals while dodging its attacks, it is a very fun fight that keeps you on your toes all the time, but still not being too hard, being quite mindless on Standard but decently challenging on Critical

Fun fact about Mysterious Figure, he was actually conceived and developed for the original Japanese non-fm release, but was cut due to the devs thinking he was an unfair fight. He would later be implemented due to story implications in the American release and later the Japanese Final Mix release of Birth by Sleep.

I never really had a problem with Young Xehanort in DDD. Mechanically speaking, the clock that resets the battle if you don't destroy it is just your standard time limit death, no different from Demyx. It just has neat flavour text and doesn't send you to the Game Over screen.

tbh 3D xehanort wasnt that bad considering that every time that he does rewind time, he has considerably less and less hp, so even if you couldnt stop it in time, it didnt extend the length of the fight TOO much.

Watching this video made me realize that the bosses in Days were pretty hit-or-miss. Leechgrave and the Ruler were mentioned but the Antlion only allowed toy amall windows of attacks after which you had to hit back its own explosives when it rose out of the sand, and getting those explosives to go his way wasn't easy.

I find them a lot less aggregious then Data Riku. He is the only boss without a discernable pattern as far as I know and is more about reaction speed. I put all ez codes on so I could never die just to try and figure out how he works (really all combat based action games should come with a training setting) and I still could not do it. I beat him simply by mashing, you know the thing these fights are supposed to stop but he has the least HP if I'm not mistaken and one lucky run of last second healing and not getting destroyed while doing it is all you need.

​​@@PathBeyondTheDarkI actually just finished the Data Fights/Yozora on my Crit run, and with them fresh on my mind, I didn't like Data Riku that much because of how spammy he was. Probably the most frustrating Data Fight for me. The worst one? Nah, that goes to Xigbar/Luxord. Also, Data Riku's patterns are tied to his explosive spawns. They spawn in horizontal lines, vertical lines, and circles, and each one of those give away what attack patterns he'll do. I can't tell you exactly what patterns are tied to what formation sadly, but someone more knowledgeable on the fight may be able to answer.

So 358/2 Days. There’s a particular mission in Mission Mode that’s essentially a Boss Rush for every Heartless you’ve faced relatively up to now. After clearing the last boss, you could exfill…or there’s a special boss you gotta go find. You get to the train station, and you are met with the most BS boss fight in the entire game. The Crimson Wyvern. This boss fight was a paaaaiin, with such a limited field of movement, it can summon a meteor shower that can rip 1/4 your health as damage per hit. It’s body slam can cause Silence, negating all Magic(who’s system was either busted or garbage, depending on the spell or level of the spell), it’s tail slap can cause Confusion, inverting your controls for a spell, or THE WORST AFFLICTION EVER in game, Weighted/ over-encumbered, with not only slows you down, but also limits your jump and gliding ability, in an already limited amount of space. I tried so hard to fight it…I noped after the 6th attempt. To this day I never defeated it, that thing is so INFURIATING!

Mysterious Figure is really cool but holy shit the devs were losing their minds making him. Giving him orbs that shoot the player from all directions literally impossible to block(unless your Aqua) Giving him a doom attack that gives u 5 seconds (FAST SECONDS MIND YOU) to mash out that gradually starts at a lower time the more u get hit Rewinding and punishing u for attacking Back in the psp version version the rope attack usually lead to u dying(iykyk) The invisibility making him impossible to lock on to His ai will instantly use invisibility if u try to d link He can interrupt and cancel his attacks in RESPONSE to your block Seriously wtf were they thinking

The worst for me are two bosses: Data Riku and Data Saix, from KH3. Data Riku's entire gimmick is just filling the screen with AOE, turning the boss into a game of "find the one pixel of safe ground." But both him AND Data Saix have far too many particle effects. I have vision problems and so the sheer amount of explosions and particles means I can't actually SEE anything going on. The fact that mechanically they're the same dance fight we've had since KH2 just means I can't see anything AND they aren't fun to fight. Say what you will about Mysterious Figure, but at least he had comedy value.

You are meant to use air step during Luxord's DM. I find it the absolute easiest and least frustrating of the battles. You have just enough time to think before you are punished as opposed to the non-stop aggression of other fights, and it's more then just guard > counter to open up the opponent. I still love the other fights (aside from Data Riku) but Luxord is definitely the most fun for me.

Data Luxord from KH2 makes me want to cry. I hate the move where you have to get circles on every slot in the command deck fast enough. I started out pretty bad at the gambler mechanics but his other moves felt doable. I haven't even attempted Data Luxord from KH3. Cherbourg from KH1 gave me so much trouble and then realizing I needed fully upgraded Aero to win felt cheap. It also made the rest of the game feel easier in comparison because I already had fully upgraded Aero.

Data Luxord in KH3 is arguably easier in KH3 just because there is no luck involved. There is not as much waiting as the video creator suggests and the special move he does you can use air step to get to him quicker

Off the top of my head the only boss I genuinely hate fighting are all the kh1 agrabah bosses except pot centipede. Every other boss I can get through and even if I don't like the boss I don't have much issue fighting them, but cave of wonders, Jafar and genie Jafar are just... So annoying. They're not hard they just feel like I'm wasting time because they just do so much to make you not able to hit them and have long periods of just waiting for them to be able to be hit again. I hate bosses that force me to just sit there. Jafar is especially aggregious because there's pretty much nothing to dodge so it's not even like you're waiting for them to finish attacking, you're just waiting for them to be able to be hit.

I actually find Re:mind Luxord really easy, you can react to all of his attacks and reduce his time incredibly easy, if you have second chance and whitstand combo you can actually just lose the dm, and continue with the fight as normal

Honestly when I was a kid I hated the mysterious figure from birth by sleep. The square button on my psp has never been the same after the amount of abuse it got thanks to that fight. Oddly enough the fight isn't so bad for me now. Vanitas' Remnant though? Yeah... i still hate that fight with a passion. It always feels like he just teleports out of my attacks and nearly oneshots me whenever he feels like it. I would try to grind levels to have an easier time but unfortunately the amount of xp you get in this game is abysmal and just feels like it takes forever...

Yes normally I hate bosses who can heal too but I feel like Young Xehanorts boss it works and fits so well. It firmly establishs him as the time boss, much better then the nobody whose power was time (I'm eyeing you Luxord), and it's so cool to watch. But two things make it not a bad. One you really have to be struggling to even get to that point because they give you quite a good chunk of time to defeat the version of him on the clock. Two if you do manage to not defeat him, you don't have to go through all the bars of health again, instead just 3 (maybe 2 I forget), instead of the 7 bars and 3 bars of health can go pretty fast. So realistically the only time your really gonna stuggle with the time rewind thing is on Critical but why would you want it to be "easier" on critical. Plus it the FINAL* boss in the game. Of course it's supposed to be hard

Young Xehanort's clock phase is pretty unfunny I agree, but the first phase of the fight I find it quite funny to just stunlock him, and it rewards learning how to deal with his teleport attacks. And even once you're done with the clock, it's... not even the final fight, you need to go through a dive mode then beat a rather short actual final boss to beat the game for good. Yeah the thing about armored Ventus is that he has too few HP, and even then, he's as unfunny to pummel as Anti Black Coat Nightmare as his stagger is similar if not the same. By the way, if you're suffering against Spellican, just use Zero Graviga to prevent it from warping away and pummel it with Spirit Roar-boosted commands.

Genie Jafar KH2 is my pic for worst boss. On most difficulties he's pretty unremarkable, but specifically on a lvl 1 play through, he is extremely frustrating. The buildings can one-shot from off-screen. His final phase is nearly impossible to deal with when he casts lightning and these relentless fire balls that follow you until the battle ends or he re-enters his DM, which is also hard to deal with since the buildings he throws will outlast you magic for reflect and the guard timing is pretty wonky. There is a speed run strat to skip the final phase but it's very precise and easy to mess up. Every time I have to fight him I get walled and just hope for the best.

The greatest disappointment of a boss is Jafar. As a human/sorcerer he was pretty annoying to fight but as a genie he was a joke. Picking up magma boulders and throwing slaps was all he did while he had cosmic powers and what it took to destroy anyone (including Maleficent). Definitely one of the worst KH boss.

I think I agree with all entries minus the Grim Reaper and Luxord. Like I can sympathize with why you found them annoying but I personally love the mechanics they introduce and how it shakes up the usual wait for an opening and counter approach, particularly in the case of Luxord where his fight forces you to be more patient and methodical. But MF and Julius are by far the worst ones for me: stupidly aggressive enemies that do butt loads of damage, can't be effectively dealt with unless you use very specific commands/magic in which using them practically turns the fight into a waiting game and both of them can throw out bullshit attacks that will one-shot you but are completely different from the rest of the way the fight is paced. Also I don't know if it's just because I didn't do the Reality Shift straight away but I swear the first time you play the game Young Xehanort's clock reverses time instantly without giving you the opportunity to lower its health bar (I played DDD on the 3DS if that makes any difference). Either way fuck that phase, the rest of his fight is actually fun but, seeing that clock gives me flashbacks.

I don't know is it because im weak but my most hated Boss is evil Aqua in Kingdom hearts 3

Yeah, while i wasnt expecting a lot of what was on this list, Mysterious Figure (convenient initials there) was the one i thought would be first. Or at least on the list somewhere. A lot of the bosses, i just never really had so much issue with. I played by Ursula so much that it never occurred to me she might be here. Need to replay Days. Finally, as for Julius, i got a very strong impression his fight was based off the BBS Mysterious Figure fight.

I hated leechgrave and ruler of the sky on days both bosses gave me so many handcramps i was so pissed and done i never got to ursula second fight on kh1 but seeing it gives me anxiety and spellican on DDD oh boy that fight is insane the amount of trouble i had trying to reach him because of those rocks it was a fight i didnt enjoy

I've only played through all of 3, so it's Marshmallow lol I ended up spamming Simba to beat him.

Boss I cannot stand is Terra's battle against Terra Xehanort in BBS. Hit stun, healing attack avoiding, and most frustrating is his constant chatter
