I always love how unpredictable these videos are, keep it up man! Also I'm totally with you, wolverine actually being able to take damage and be in real danger is way more interesting. It's what I loved about the 90's series. He healed quick and he was tough as a Canadian pine nut but he wasn't immortal.

Yup you nailed it. Magneto HAD to be number one. What's funny is, when you really think about it...having super healing just INSTANTLY means that as a character, writers are going to mess them up all the time. Like can you imagine a superhero with super healing and he just lives a normal life where he doesn't really get seriously injured ever? How BORING. LMFAO! And then, by proxy, once they realize their ability, it likely is going to make them more careless. Like, do they just stop looking both ways when they cross a street? I mean, it's still gotta hurt...right? I mean talk about a lawsuit racket you could start with this ability. "Officer, all these witnesses saw me get hit by this driver," "Would you like to press charges?" "YES!" "But you APPEAR to be fine." "I'm emotionally damaged by the trauma," MAN has any writer DONE this yet? That's a pretty clever idea for a scumbag character with super healing. If I got a papercut and saw it go away instantly, it would start this funny sort of escalation montage of basically what would look like suicidal behavior to see if I lived. LMFAO! I wonder if every super healing hero did that. It's just really funny when you think about it.
@DisplayingModelBehaviour3 жыл бұрын
Lol oh that was an amazing little read right there. You're absolutely right, probably the worst power you can have in the 616 is super healing because you just know that means you're going to get horribly messed up on a near daily basis!

I actually got X-Men 25 (adamantium ripped out), Wolverine 75 (discovery of bone claws, healing factor burnt out, quits x-men), and Wolverine 145 (Wolverine regains adamantium). House of X is just to re bulk up the mutant numbers that were killed off during the House of M story. Its smart for Disney cause that 100s of characters to work with
@DisplayingModelBehaviour3 жыл бұрын
I'm fine with them bringing old mutants back but that would work as a one off thing. Having constant resurrection always possible (Super easy, barely an inconvenience) just removes any consequences.

Honestly, I feel like the complaint with the HoX revivals is kinda ridiculous. Like, it's comic books, there aren't any stakes to dying either way, now it's just that the revival happens quicker
@DisplayingModelBehaviour3 жыл бұрын
I understand what you mean. Anyone can be brought back at any time anyway but from a narrative perspective it removes the stakes for the characters.

I was waiting for the Magneto story. It was a good choice to save for last. I agree that he doesn't "sell" anymore (good wrestling term). Deadpool should be the character who can come back from any injury for comedic value, not Wolverine. I just read Lifeblood, a novel where pre-adamantium Wolverine is shot in the head and cremated in a Nazi concentration camp. Yeah, he doesn't sell that.

I keep forgetting how much of a punching bag Wolverine was in the 90's lol but then again we also had good writers..... not saying today's writers are bad but..... they are just bad lol Looking back man I have noticed that this was also the time when comics parodying the real world was phased out as the political jargon was being implemented more than ever. And to think, some schmuck said Wolverine getting shotgun blasted in the nethers after having his face blasted off and later run over by a steam roller was the worst thing that ever happened to Wolverine to you and you say hold my beer. When will they ever learn lol Cheers buddy
