You can do this before the epilogue too. At any point in the main story (except chapter 1 & 5 obvs), go inside the cave in the north west of West Elizabeth, go past the bridge into one of the caverns and get drunk & you'll wake up outside the map.

Thanks! Tried this yesterday in the italian version of the game and it still works. I did it without the cheat code so I could save game (I did this so I could study the animals I missed in chapter 5). Oddest thing though (and this could be useful to all of you asking how to go back to the original map) I saved the game in guarma and when I loaded it I was still there, then I switched the language to english so I could verify I had all the right animals in the compendium (there's no way to do it inside the game, I switched the language of the entire PS4 system and it loaded the game in english). When it loaded the game I was still in guarma, then I saved game again from the english version of the game and when I loaded that slot I was back in the original map, south of Braithwaite Manor.

So, funny story. Just completed story mode 100% for the 2nd time, got bored so I went to Mexico. Found a way into the Mexican Fort which was only partially built and you can walk through the walls to go inside and look around. Kept running south, and ended up so far off the map that the game bugged out completely. I (John) then woke up in Guarma, like the Guarma we play in chapter 5 with Arthur and the gang. Only he's now stuck in Guarma 😂 I've been running around finding the parrots and snakes to complete the Compendium but the militia are looking out for me as most of Guarma says I'm wanted dead or alive 🤣 Literally stuck here now

On July 12, 2020, PC Version, it works! It took a couple times in the initial "drunk" part to stay on top of the Hill. However, it finally worked. Twice before I slid back down the hill. The Key is to start "moving" upward when you wake up. Also, when you start reaching the "Nintendo 64 Ground" ... look at your map! You'll see that you are running across the ocean to Guarma!

This 100% works if you do all the steps correctly, but I noticed that on guarma in guarded areas where you would be shot immediately as arthur, they still have the guards even though fussar is dead but they dident shoot me straight away, I greeted them at the gate and when I entered they just shot me.

1:50 to get to Mexico you need to be Karen at the end of the game and then your in

You can get "out of the Basin" in the slot canyons, South East of the arch, there is an small but obvious ramp up... Also to get to Guarma without dying, find the southern most Hires/Lowres border of the map and follow it until you begin to float in the air, once on the top you can glitch to Guarma without dying. This terrain glitch is located directly south of San Denis.

I have when ever you save make sure it's as close to beach as possible avoid shooting when you first spawn there go right to beach shouldn't get shot at then save game oh and make sure auto save is off now to go back tun on auto save then die and should make auto save then load that auto save should spawn back on main land

The fort in Mexico is called el presidio that is the same fort where john marston finds javier escuella and conquered him it's actually really empty in there in this game i went there and didn't see nothing it's nothing really surprising i also went to look for chuparosa and it was empty and there was nothing exciting there too

Iguanas and Crabs can be found without going there. They are on the small island west of Rhodes that has the old ship wreck where you find the tri-corner navel hat. However, as far as I've seen, Guarma is required in order to collet the rare parrots/perocete types of birds. Which didn't make sense for Rockstar to have that since I'm pretty sure it can only be done as John

Yes, rockstar has invisible shooters to auto kill you if you start to stray into areas they don’t want you in. Around chapter 4 I took Arther and went to Blackwater (not into the city, just the area) and tried to go as southwest as possible. There was gang after gang chasing me and when I got to a certain point I was just getting shot by nobody till I died

As a lot of people know by now, Guarma is so detailed because it was originally supposed to be featured more prominently and play a larger role in the game. Not only were there supposed to be more Chapter 5 missions set in Guarma, players were going to be able to return during the Epilogue to complete any leftover side content. I've long suspected that Rockstar might have decided to change this because they decided that, since RDR 2 is a Western game, requiring players to spend a lot of time time on a tropical island would have been too strange. While i do really like Guarma, it definitely changes the whole vibe of the game to something along the lines of Indiana Jones or Pirates of the Caribbean.

You can disable the sniper just as easily as getting to Guarma. Just run until he starts shooting, pause the game, replay Epilogue pt 2 Mission 1, fail the mission by walking away from Uncle, and cancel the mission. You'll spawn back in Guarma with the freedom to explore as you please. Now I just need to figure out how to get back.

The 'Invisible Bullets' is a mechanism that rockstar put in place so you can't venture too far out. They combined that with cliffs that just make you slide down. When I was playing chapter V, I tried to go out further and I had the same thing happen.

Hey dude, I used your tip on getting into Guarma. Worked great! Just wanna let you know if you didn’t already but if you keep riding next to the pool of abyss east you can make it all the way to guarma north shore. Only thing is I took a run up and jumped my horse into it. We landed a few meters lower. Horse was injured and needed reviving but now I have a horse on guarma. I’m playing ps4 btw. Anyways amazing content your a true legend in what you do. Thanks

@@TennisWall it’s pretty sweet so if you follow the vid instructions and get yours horse. Then travel how he says but I think go slightly more left. Has been a while since I did it. At some point you’ll come to an open field which drops off to your right. You can hug the left side of that for ages until you can see down the open field into guarma. You can just jump down into it on your horse. And then your near the top left side of guarma. I think the further up you go the smaller the jump. Worth trying if your bored or have time. I should have filmed it when I did it sorry.

One thing that’s really cool about this is when you get to Mexico with the glitch, you can hear the sort of Mexico “theme” in the background music. I have not heard that particullar theme elsewhere on the main map :)

@@bikerq4492 you have to run there, as cheats keep you from saving. To get out, all I do is just die a bunch of times and it spawns me back in the mountains of RDR2

I think you have to save before you do it and then when you want to leave just go back to that save

During the mission on Guarma Rockstar dosnt want Arthur to explore past the forests so when you reached the invisible sniper part you start getting killed.
