Am I the only one who thinks Octavia made the right decision about dark year? I think she was really like really strong about it, and yes I know it is really disgusting when you think about it but it is really important to see the bigger picture. There is no right or wrong way when it comes to survival, only the way that keeps you alive.She knew that and she needed people to know that as well. At the end they survive thanks to her and you can see they were all greatful to her and that they were ready to give their lifes for her. And about the farm I agree she probably shouldn't have done that but at the same time she probably thought If they give up on the valley now they could never take it again in case the farm stops working like it did in the past. She kinda doesn't believe in the farm anymore and doesn't want to be in the situation they once wore during the dark year ever again so she takes no chances and takes away the choice before people start putting hopes in the farm. Sure that is just my opinion feel free to hate it

Yeah, but where were all of you when I was standing up for Blodreina? You all called her crazy and wanted her to die! I knew from episode 2 that others were talking her into enforcing their decisions. I didn't think Abby would turn out to be the one who was pulling the strings, but I couldn't be right about everything. Now her brother treats her like dirt, and Clarke ratted out Wonkru and the eye in the sky to McCreary. She's on the wrong side. I don't think Madi will stand for it. But I totally agree with everything Octavia had to do. The arena, everything. She kept the human race alive and fans of the show still think she was doing wrong by her people. She saved them all from Praimfiya and starvation, twice. Even though it was all Abby's idea. Get full compliance. It was her fault, but Octavia bore it so they didn't have to. Now that she's been betrayed by everyone (except Miller, way to go Miller!), what will happen to our Red Queen? She better survive, cause I now hate every other main character for what they did to her. #FORBLODREINA

The only decision BlodReina did wrong was attempting to send the worms to the Valley. That was a horrible desperate idea. Here is hoping Miller is still TeamBlodReina next season. The worse mistake the writers could do is have her do some kind of apology tour or pity party. Maybe for one or two episode she will have doubts, but Dyoska or the Commanders of the Flame (or both) should assure her she was right. If they let the BlodReina idea die now, or have no faction that wants her to rise up again (with Miller pushing for it and as her second) this show may start to lose me.

Clarke knows she isn't the hero. She knows she is the villain in many people's stories. She is WahHeda. One doesn't get the name Commander of Death if they are a hero. What made me angry was that Clarke was on the bridge deciding the fate of humanity but Octavia wasn't invited. It's partly because of Clarke's betrayal they were killed at the Gorge. She was only allowed there because she was forgiven almost instantly and because of Madi. That was bull. If this show was being true to Octavia character she would have at least beat the crap out of Clarke. Maybe not have killed her but at least broken some bones. She is an enemy of Wonkru.

Octavia wasn't a Monster ever. All her actions were for the best of EVERYONE. Clarke or Bellamy, could never say the same thing yet they think they get to judge her. This is why I found the moment of Madi (the Commanders of the Flame) agreeing with Octavia's action but being disappointed in Clarke very important to Octavia's future story. And the moment when they were going to battle, Octavia and Madi were side by side.

This edit was amazing. It’s really showed her struggle. People have to stop hating her because of how “selfish” she was this season because if you payed attention you’d realize that she was everything but selfish. She did whatever she had to do to ensure the survival of her people. Although she may have been older than other commanders such as Lexa when she won the conclave, it was more challenging for Octavia because all the other commanders trained their whole lives how to fight, lead and whatever else. Octavia only trained to fight, not to lead. And she only trained for a few months when she won the conclave at just 17 years old. And she just tried to win a fight, not a throne. She didn’t have the flame, nor the previous commanders to help her. And she always asked people like Indra, Marcus and Abby for another way but they couldn’t give her one. So she had to pick the lesser of two evils. Be honest, the Dark Year broke all of them. But she bore the burden alone when Abby pretended like “Eat or die” wasn’t actually her idea. If you pay attention you can see how her choices are breaking her. That part where she cuts herself and wears her own blood as warpaint has such a deep meaning. Blodreina wears the blood of her enemies and by wearing her own blood, she is her own enemy. So instead of hating her, try to understand her.

I have a question. Do you guys look at Octavia the same for cannibalism, or do you shame her? I for one, do not shame her, but I don't look at her the same. She did what she had to, it was the only source of food. You can tell that she's breaking, she didn't want to. Honestly it was Abby's idea, but I don't shame Abby. Again, it was the only source of food. Yes, to me it's disgusting. But she didn't want that. And from what I can tell it was only for one year until they could get the farm working again. At least that's what Nate said, the flashback to Lincoln's death and the gun being held up to his head. It was a really good part of the video, when Octavia shot the women it reminded me of that to. Awesome video, Octavia has been through so much, maybe she thinks that if she becomes a completely different person she won't have to deal with the pain. Like Madi said Octavia bares it so they don't have to, just like Clarke in Mount weather. And Octavia couldn't run away from it like Clarke had. I do hope that she finds herself this season, she is lost in what to do. Her own people betrayed her, along with Indra, Gaia, and Bellamy her own brother. So back to the question, yes I look at Octavia differently. But I do not shame her.

Even tho they betrayed her I do understand they were trying to save her from herself and everyone else. Even tho bellamy poisoned her he didn’t want her to die, he also tried to save her in the arena when gia tried to kill her, for me bellamy poisoning Octavia to save everyone else and the last living valley was the most selfless thing he’s ever done, she’s the most important person to him no matter whether they didn’t see eachother for 6 years or he tells her he doesn’t care about her if he was being selfish and thinking of his own feelings he’d have chose her over the rest of the human race. Her also thinking she’s lost bellamy may bring her back bellamy already brought her back for a minute indra too. She didn’t want him dead and even told him how to win that was the old octavia speaking. I understand why she’s the way she is but I can’t agree with you on Abby, she came up with the whole idea and even pushed taking away their choice not to eat onto Octavia and left her to do all the dirty work, truth is Abbie didn’t even think twice or show any doubts either Octavia didn’t want to, Abby’s used pills And wallowed I’m self pity Octavia had to bear it for them. Kane’s ok with Abby and shit but wants Octavia dead. For me Abby is worse and shouldn’t he painted as innocent just because Octavia is ruthless Abby is part to blame for how Octavia is now too

I don't think that O can come back from this. The year of darkness was something that will have broken many. The PTSD will have untold and unfixable damage on her. If in todays time something like that, even with proper psychological help the going would be intense and hard to try to cure.

Anyone else think Octavia Took Clarke's place this Season? Haven't got to see all of season 5, but most of it. I really think that, but tbh, I like Octavia in this role better than I did Clarke. I don't know, maybe they just handle thing's differently? Plus, in the scene, where it says "You don't need to fight." And Octavia replies with " You fight to live or you die." Does it make anyone else think of that time when Clarke said: "If the choice is to fight or die, there is no choice."

Sorry if my english is bad😂 3:20 i cant 😖😭She is my fv character. She made some bad decisions but she needed to do it to survive. Clarke and Bellamy always choose sides. Octavia made them strong. The moment where I though she will die and then appears Clarke in a car ( 5x13 ) I cried a lot. But Im also proud of Octavia for doing that. Im angry at Bellamy. He wasnt in the bunker so he cant judge her. She killed because she needed to. Its easy to judge her when you only see the bad things.

I disagree... she was the only one that could lead them all. If Clarke was in the bunker, less would have survived. I like Clarke but she always chooses a side. In the bunker she would have made divisions. Bellamy was the same way. Only Octavia could bring them all together, and more importantly hold them together. The only decision she made that was poor was the worms. Attempting to take the worms to the Valley was a bad move. Everything else was the right decision. Where I find the "poor Octavia" notion to fit is her brother and Clarke thinking they have to right to judge her. They don't but she feels he does or at least doubts she did the right thing. If anyone doubts that Octavia is not a good leader all they have to do is watch the moment when she doesn't hesitate to bow to Madi after the Gorge. She knew what her people needed at the moment and she did it. Didn't matter that she would lose her power.

People might disagree but i think Octavia needed to fall into the dark year, she really needed to find herself after lincoln died and i think she started losing herself before his death but then completely lost it when he died, i think she was already falling into it but with Lincoln there he helped her and then when he died she fell into it with no one there to save her, she’s slowly finding herself in season 6 again and i hope we get to see her really happy, everyone needs to lose themselves to find who they really are
