In Season 1 Octavia was the scared girl who hid under the floor and had to be protected by her brother since she wasn't a fighter. In Season 4 she was a fully trained warrior who fought to save not just her people but all groups of people. In Season 5 Octavia was a power hungry dictator who killed her own people and forced them to march to satisfy her ego. In Season 7 she risks her life to save what is left of the human race from killing each other and that allows them to Transcend.

Their final journey is on the ground. They met again on Earth where it all started.

I have to say I loved some things like Clarke's sacrifices were finally appreciated, Murphy choosing Emori over surviving and the end of Octavia's arch. Everyone must remember, Bob Morley did not want to do the show for season 7. And, as I watched the conventions online, Jason said that there wasn’t any chemistry between Clarke and Bellamy. That is obviously not true in real life 😘 but, even Eliza said that Lexa was Clarke’s true love. Hey, for all of the Bellamy fans, it was Bob’s decision to only have the very limited role in season 7, not Jason’s. How about Murphy?!!! I REALLY disliked him in season one! Whoever thought he would turn out to be a decent and complex character to play. Richard Harmon- what an incredible actor! I liked how the series ended...after all the cheers and jeers, Jason Rothenberg, job well done.
@jrlombardi525111 ай бұрын
This is so old but I'll answer anyway😅 I think everyone should be aware Lexa was Clarke's true love, right? Even if they didn't watch the interview where Eliza says it, in this episode it is even explicitly said that the entity that does the test takes the form of the tested subject's biggest love, and for Clarke it took Lexa's form. So even if they didn't realise or want to accept it from their interactions, the show literally told that to their faces lol

@jrlombardi525111 ай бұрын
This is old but... Clarke herself admitted the city of light itself wasn't a bad thing at all and was completely willing to let everyone get there once she found out it was the best option, the only reason why they didn't, erase A.L.I.E and fought so hard against it was bc of the methods A.L.I.E had to take them there, Clarke said that if she could stop doing that then she would go with it, but she couldn't thanks to how she was programmed, which is why everything was erased. Transcending on the other hand, it has all the good parts of it and none of the bad, the bad things of the city of light was that A.L.I.E tortured and forced them to get them in there and stole their memories, meanwhile transcending doesn't do anything with their memories and it's completely their choice if they want to do it or not. I'm not saying the whole transcending thing made sense, we all know it didn't, but at the same time we can't say it's the same than the city of light and makes the show contradict itself by telling that was wrong and this wasn't, bc it's not the case.

@@itsjinxnow4814 Season.4 is my favourite and then Season 2, perfect plot/writing/pacing and were fantastic. Season 1 I did a re-watch and a lot of it is cringey but has a few good moments. Season 5 had a great season finale but i thought the pacing was very slow, they were still in the bunker 10 episodes in foreshadowing a massive war which was underwhelming, most of the season just felt stagnant and the random Murphy and Emori drama was annoying. I'd say Season 7 is 3/7 and Season 6 is 4/7 in my rankings. Really enjoyed the introduction of new planets and the anomaly stuff, backstory to the flame and grounders (7x08). Primes plot was cool although annoyed with religious fanatics and Sheidheda plot being dragged for too long. I think the ENDING MISSES the whole point of the show. The point of the show, what they were fighting for all these years, was to SURVIVE THE HUMAN RACE......they didn't.....they transcended....meaning there would be no more kids.....human life....nothing.....and at a time that EARTH WAS SURVIVABLE AGAIN..... Yeah...a group stayed behind but again....it was very out of character for the most of them And also transcendence was so nice that even Madi did not come back for Clarke...who spent the most time with her(like 8 years i think) and it was a mother daughter relationship.....but Murphy, Emori, Echo, Indra and....i can't remember if Hope came back as well....but any way....you get what i'm saying So, if they hadn't come back...there would be no more human race.................pointless

11:28 - I finally finished the 100 last night and my thoughts at this point were “why is Jason Rothenberg using a U2 song that is about heroin addiction?” Overall, I will say Season 7 had some good moments but most of the moments were “Bad.” Pun intended! Would it make sense for Clarke to injure Bellamy than to kill him over a sketch book? Would it make sense for Mandy to want to be with Clarke by returning from transcendence? Does Bellamy just stay dead or can he transcend like Emori? Rothenberg was trying to create an ethereal theme which totally missed the mark. Too many plot lines, too many distractions with the flame and the primes, and too many characters introduced at the end of the series that didn’t have time to properly be developed and appreciated. Also, what was the point of Josephine’s return? It really added no substance to the season at all and it was a complete tangent. Overall, I give the 100 a 6/10 as a series. It seriously could have been so much better but it missed the mark on so many levels thanks to Rothenberg’s ego. Reality and Rothenberg’s vision didn’t compliment each other well at all.

I'm so late but the commentary about toxicity is cracking me up as I've heard that about every fandom from TV to movies to music to sports. Fandoms are made up of people so simply put of course fandoms made up of a large number of people are toxic as well. From there, it stands to reason that the toxic minority is considerably louder and more obnoxious than the rest of the fandom. Personally having been in several fandoms over my life, i find it pointless to dwell on those hopeless people within the fandom but I also know it's easier said than done especially when that toxicity is directed towards you personally

I feel like you are the male version of me ahah yes, this fandom can be really toxic, but then again so are most fandoms because human beings are toxic. Anyway, I couldn't agree more with you abou the show, the season, the ending and Bellamy's death. Also, Clarke didn't have any character development. She has been "Wanheda" since season 3 and that hasn't change. She went fully Wanheda in this episode and she even said she would do it all again... hence, no learning from mistakes or development. That made me feel so disappointed because she was a great character with great potential (until they assassinated her alongside Bellamy). It's sad that The 100 went from being one of my favorite shows to one I'm "indifferent" about. Also, don't even get me started on all the plot holes and unanswered questions about everything that happened this season... *faceplam* Now that you are done with The 100, you should watch Buffy next (it never disappoints)! :P

To me transcendence seems like a failure for humanity, especially now when earth is survivable again but there are no people to live on it once the group dies (as she said "there will not be an offspring"). So humanity is just floating there with these "higher beings" that kill entire species with no problem. Sweet. Totally justifies all the sh*t everyone went through.

For me the lack of Clarkes's character development was the most disappointing part of the whole series. I understand that the point was for her to become the personification of tribalism and blood must have blood, but it feels unsatisfying when you watch a person's journey for so long. Clarke had a lot of shit going on. At the end she finds peace but at a huge personal cost. And that felt more of a sad than a happy end.
@shellic51664 жыл бұрын
So many seem to think this is a happy ending. But it is not if you look close. I think this ending had way too many holes. Granted I didn't hate it, which I expected to but I didn't like it either. Not enough to rewatch it from the beginning again. The end seemed very hollow, especially without bellamy. But also very finite. Because they may all be together and happy now, but we don't see past that. What happens when you have been hanging out for years watching all the couples love each other and you don't have that special someone? There are a few single ladies, and if you are not willing to go lesbian and with a friend you never considered a love interest before.... then you will be alone with no love of your life, while watching others have theirs. You know there will never be new people making their way to your camp, so you are stuck, unless someone breaks up...not likely. Then you can't have any kids, so no future, which makes growing old and sick and helpless really sucky. There will be no kids to help take care of the older people. So you will get to watch each other die off and leave behind old fragile people who still need to chop wood, hunt and more, only there will be one last person left once everyone dies who will be alone until they finally die....didn't think that one through. A simple fix could have been they came back but could still have kids and a future. Or worst case, they came back to be with Clarke until she dies and then they transcend....something better than what they gave us. These were supposed to be higher beings. They should have put friendship and love as good qualities and not punished them with no kids and no transcendence after. This seems like a good ending on the surface, but only the surface. I found it very disappointing. If they had just brought back Bellamy, I probably wouldn't have even cared to look deeper and just been happy. This makes me not want to watch the prequel because I just don't trust Jason to not get mad at more actors and ruin his new show just to make another point. Done with his shows.

I swear I didn't know what was going on for the majority of this season. I didn't enjoy this last season as much...

What was the point of Lexa returning? I get she was Clarke's "greatest love" but it felt off. I mean these two characters have insane chemistry but still. I guess anything to make Clarke cry one last time. .😂.

yeah, some fans and reactors are toxic, while they pretend to be against toxicity. They will stab you in the back if you disagree with their politics.

Yup very toxic fan base, i hated some things that happened too, especially this season 7 but i wont just ditch the show that i watched for 7 whole years, might as well see it through, oh and as for a prequel that doesn't even need to happen, we know what happened in the past, we dont really need to see it all fleshed out, thats just cash grabbing

ARE FIGHT IS OVER!!!! Uhhhhh this season was a HEADACHE 😂 In some sense I’m glad it’s over on another side I’m sad it’s ending. Although the 100 fandoms are ABSOLUTELY TOXIC!!!! I ship Bellarke I never shipped Clexa BUT all I said on a comment was that I shipped bellarke and the Clexa shippers SWARMED ME!!!

I thought this was a shit ending, but that's just because I really enjoyed the the first season and this this final season you can teleport, transcend like bruh. However overall I like the characters just not really the story

I agree about the fandom. I wont miss the toxicity or the pure entitlement certain groups pushed. Bellamy's death sucks but it was the actors fault. If he wasnt such a piece of shit we might have got a good end to his character.

It sucks that bellamy died, but at the same time they made me dislike him so much that it's wasn't a sad death. They did bellamy so wrong. That's the only thing I didn't like.

Fandom was like Grounder tribes. And that said, I didn't like the ending either. Agree with all your points.

The fandom of the 100 is one of the most toxic ive ever seen. So im glad its over. There were a few good folks. I think JR stoked those fandom wars tho. But glad its over. I like the idea of the ending but i think they should have rebuilt humanity to do better.

Overall I would still say game of thrones had a worse ending although when Bellamy died that did take the cake for the most unjustified death in TV IMO

.. The 100 fandom IS toxic AF. IMO I found most of the really bad stuff came from the Lexi fans. And it makes me sad b/c they made me start hating her character because of all their anger at Bell for being a love interest. Anyways the entire last season was trash.

watched the entire series for the first time in the past week and honestly, the show is entertaining but sooo repetitive. I'm sorry but Clarke's character is the worst. She tries to justify her actions but more often than not her choices are wrong and unjustifiable even by tv show standards. Bellemy really did have one the best character arcs but his death was absolute bullsh!t it was premature, without reason, and honestly sooo out of place even for a character like Clarkes because she had given up soo much to save Bellemy again and again. The transcendence is also a horrible ending. The whole thing seemed so rushed and at the end useless?

I’m sorry you had a bad experience with the fandom. You’re right they are very toxic at times, especially the shippers and people who have their fave. I’m a huge fan and I hate Raven AND Clarke🥴 so you can only imagine the hate I’d get. But I’m glad you enjoyed the show!
