Stephen's magic trick is so simple. You see the bottom card before you start, announce that as the first card to choose. Look at the card he picks, tells him he is right and then tells him to find the card he just looked at in the deck. The "push to the bottom" gimmick at the end is the same move after seeing card two.

Cheah’s Card Trick (SPOILER) This is my go to trick. My uncle taught me when I was in 5th grade, and it impresses 99% of the time. Goal: Have the guest correctly pick 3 cards at random (I do 4, but not a difference maker. Trick Key: The dealer (Cheah) has to know where 1 specific card is. I think his was 9 of diamonds. Cheah knew the bottom card was the 9 of diamonds. You shouldn’t use the bottom or top card. I use 3rd from the bottom. Now I know where my 9 of diamonds is (3rd from bottom). Dealer tells the guest to “randomly” choose 3 cards starting with, oh Idk, the 9 of diamonds. Guest CANNOT look at the card. They pass it to you. I look - it’s the Jack of spades - I tell the guest to pick the Js….slides it to me - I look, 7 of spades. Cheah did the hand thing. Instead, I say “let me choose the final card just to mix things up”. I act like I’m deciding where to draw, knowing I’m grabbing 3rd from the bottom (9 of diamonds). Reason you don’t select top or bottom is it looks suspicious, and people choose those the most. Now I ask the guest to repeat the cards to me: 9 of diamonds, Jack of spades, 7 of spades. Voila, that’s what I have in my hand. 3 biggest takeaways: never let anyone see the cards; don’t use the top or bottom cards; dealer must select the “plant card” last to complete the trick. It’s so easy and kills.

If anyone is wondering, I’m pretty sure the way Cheah does the trick is he checks the top card (the one he says he moves at the end) and that’s the first card he names that KB will pick. Then he checks the card and whatever KB actually picked he names as the second card KB will pick. Then he does the same thing with the second card and says that’s the card he’ll drag to the top of the deck. Then boom all 3 cards match the ones he named.
