Word of advice: Go into the system settings and go to power saver settings. Make sure your vita doesn't go to stand by for 30 minutes. I swear I had to restart the update assets several times because of this.

I normally have really bad luck with getting stuff like this to work. But the only problem I had was not getting the box art to show up in retroarch. I consider that a win. Loved the video.

If your snes games are still slow with overclock, use an older core. FFVI and Mario world rom hacks needs the 2002 core for full speed with no audio pops :) Excellent video, thanks!

I wish I could remember what kind of retroarch I installed those years back. What I mean is that my interface looks 10thousand times better than this version. Not only I have box art, but also emulator art, general art in the background, I can divide everything via categories (beat'em up, platform, arcade) not only by console type etc etc. It was some sort of special retroarch scripted by a separate team of people . Ran into an issue with SD2VITA formatting the card where it rebuilt the database and basically hid or uninstalled the homebrew apps; but I think this mightve been a personal error because i didn't know my Vita type. I basically just reformatted the whole vita after that, but the process is so long between videos that I think may put my Vita away for a while, move onto something else, and try again when I have the patience. Your videos are great and well-spoken and concise and I'll definitely review them when that day comes! You earned yourself a subscriber!

I figured out a work around. You can manually extract the files with your PC and just copy the folders over the existing assets and overlay folders.

They are working on a PPSSPP port that uses the native hardware and upscale. Still too early but it is being worked on. Truly the Vita is the ultimate PSP

I had the same problem at first. I simply tried again. I deleted the installed RetroArch.vpk, redownloaded it, reinstalled, launched it, and surprisingly second time was the charm!

No matter where I put the optional ps1 bios files, if I load something like Tekken 3 it always says bios not present, use will improve compatibility, Shell is files and folders are exactly where they need to be, no duplicates, the md5 is correct it just won't see the files, extensions correct, etc.
