True story: I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter and grumpy because of days of on again, off again non-progressing contractions, so my husband and I settled in to eat dinner and watch Footloose for a distraction. Before the movie ended I was in active labor and yelling, “Shut it off, shut it off!!” We called the midwife and our daughter was born about 2 hours later. (Later I wanted to see the rest of the movie- turned it on and 10 seconds later the credits started rolling, lol.)

My local radio station used to have a segment called "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" where people would call in with some movie title and the host - who was extremely knowledgeable about movies - would find a way to connect Kevin Bacon to that movie within 6 movies. For example, you might say "The Blues Brothers" and this guy would say, "John Belushi was in that and he and Kevin were both in 'Animal House'". Easy! Some of them were quite extravagant, but he always found a way to connect him.
