Listen to this genius’s highly developed articulation abilities. (Most organists believe that articulation is a kind of parasitic arachnid.) He’s improvising some of this, I assume. Now, that’s perfection! The old art lives. Long may he prosper!

Probably many pianists believe that but are ignorant about organ storic articulations.

He practices on a clavichord. That teaches one a lot about articulation.

This was another very good demonstration. This organ has some special qualities to the sound, like the overtones in the Principals making them really sound like bowed strings, and the little chuff in the Dulziana 4' of the Rückpositiv which sound like a little bell at the start of the notes. This organ is silky smooth with maybe the bass reeds as an exception which indeed need the foundation of an open pipe stop to sound proper as they are mainly overtones.

What a marvellous instrument. A real jewel. Even though it has already been mentioned many times, very beautiful presentation and improvisation. The temperament is also right up my street. Thank you very much for sharing with us.

And I don't recall ever seeing one at 8' before! Aren't they usually 4' or 2'?

Right up to your customary superb standard. Your description of the wind supply and showing it in action was the icing on the cake! I wish you could fit a visit to New Zealand into your schedule!
