Lyrics We're fucking in a car, shooting heroin Saying controversial things just for the hell of it Selling melanin and then suffocate the black men Start with misdemeanors and we'll make a business out of them And we can find out the information Access all the applications That are hardening positions based on miscommunication Oh, fuck your feelings Truth is only hearsay We're just left to decay Modernity has failed us And I'd love it if we made it Yes, I'd love it if we made it Yes, I'd love it if we made it Yes, I'd love it if we made it And poison me, daddy I've got the Jones right through my bones Write it on a piece of stone A beach of drowning three-year olds Rest in peace Lil Peep The poetry is in the streets Jesus save us Modernity has failed us And I'd love it if we made it Yes, I'd love it if we made it Yes, I'd love it if we made it Yes, I'd love it if we made it And I'd love it if we made it And I'd love it if we made it And I'd love it if we made it I'd love it if we made it Tell me something I didn't know Consultation Degradation Fossil fueling Masturbation Immigration Liberal kitsch Kneeling on a pitch "I moved on her like a bitch" Excited to be indicted Unrequited house with seven pools "Thank you Kanye, very cool" The war has been incited and guess what? You're all invited And you're famous Modernity has failed us And I'd love it if we made it And I'd love it if we made it And I'd love it if we made it Tell me something I didn't know And I'd love it if we made it And I'd love it if we made it And I'd love it if we made it And I'd love it if we made it

one of the most powerful opening lyrics written. Even more so when he sings it live.

i get the opening but i think this song has the most powerful moment of music history with "I MOVED ON HER LIKE A BITCH"

Playing drums in that heat will have you looking miserable especially if you hit the drums as hard as George hits them. He does not have a light touch so my boy is workin' up there.
@Thetelecastermusic4 жыл бұрын
That would be natural drum face mixed with concentration. My drum/guitar face is fucking horrendous when I'm concentrating on what I'm playing.
@avedic4 жыл бұрын
As the others said.......he's just in the ZONE. That's all. He's not worrying about how he looks lol. Also.....George kinda ALWAYS looks like that when playing live. He just gets deep into it. :)

There's a lot of autotune in his live performances. His voice is more suited to the studio I think so they bulk him up live.
@DarthOpinion4 жыл бұрын
MOODFOX The autotune is not alot. This kind of singing still requires an incredible amount of skill. Its really hard to sing these shouting notes
@moodfox60244 жыл бұрын
@@DarthOpinion This one is absolutely full of autotune I'm afraid. Just listen to how pure the melody is. It's unnaturally robotic. I'm not complaining by the way, I love The 1975. They use it to make the performance more consistent and it sounds great.
@nancyree13454 жыл бұрын
MOODFOX as a singer this song is fucking HARD to sing especially with the amount of straining and emotion he puts on it I would put auto tune on it if I was a singer lmao
@DarthOpinion4 жыл бұрын
MOODFOX Yeah he uses some of it. But it’s far from like travis scott level. And the shouting notes are really hard to sing. Im quite a trained singer myself and even with alot of practice this remains hard.

it must be a very difficult song for him to perform, it's essentially about the dissolution of society and how awful most of it has become and is continuing to be. the title itself, 'love it if we made it', im pretty sure it wouldn't be completely off-base to interpret it as a plea of some type. that's what it's always sounded like to me, like he's expressing a true wish that we all survive this half-decent. i have no idea how he manages to perform it live, especially with the emotions it must clearly bring up for him (unless that's all a performance, but i doubt it is, he seems to be a pretty authentic dude nowadays.). i can't speak for him though and i dont know his experience. i just think it's funny how there's so many people in the comments confused about why he withdraws (so-to-speak) when they play this song live.
