Okay, its "cool" not "cold". But if it were the latter, I feel like it would hit harder because, he says he was just shot and as you doe, your body temperature decreases. So, I feel like it'd be much more of a powerful lyric, but yeah, Matty said that the lyric is "cool" but because of his accent, it makes it sound like "cold".

Kayla Mostiller it's written after the movie True Romance and the line "youre so cool" is a big part of the movie so that's why he says that lyric instead of "you look so cold"

The "gun" is a metaphor, it's ammo to end the relationship. Both of them are trapped in second chances and neither is strong enough to end it x

TheSShadye Here is what Matty wrote about the song (in reference to the new video that came out): 'Robbers' is a love song, it was originally inspired by my love of the Quentin Tarantino film 'True Romance', the story of an Elvis obsessed loner who falls in love and marries a prostitute. In the movie the couple run away to California after killing her pimp and stealing his drugs to start a new life financed by a once in a lifetime drug deal. It's the sentiment behind the film that appeals to me, the hopelessly romantic notion that two people can meet and instantly fall in love, an escape story where love is the highest law and conquers all against the odds. Characters like Bonnie and Clyde always appealed to me as a teenager - couples so intoxicated with one another that they fear nothing in the pursuit of the realization of each other, actions fueled by blind unconditional love. 'Robbers' is an ode to those relationships. The type of relationship all humans long for. All or nothing. It's cool. It does sound a little like cold but Mattys unique voice makes it sound like a bit of both. It suits the word cool as well with the lyrics being ''he's got his gun, he's got his suit on'' She's saying he looks cool looking like a badass.
