@@oscarespindola2428 BIBLE calls us all to be real, sober minded souls, who live holy lives on earth. BIBLE calls nor expect nobody to be: - religious of any kind - monk - nun BIBLE expect us to turn our LACK OF KNOWLEDGE into KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH (HOSEA 4:6) Each human life on earth: - repent - BORN AGAIN and GO AND SIN NO MORE - be baptised in HOLY SPIRIT /THE COMFORTER - LIVE HOLY = soul, after earthly death in HEAVEN. Easy logic, asks no degree in anything. Bible calls us to give out RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT, no to keep our mouth shut and support everything with blind eyes and deaf ears. See no evil, speak no evil and hear no evil - that old saying, it belongs to masons, am I right again? The vow of silence of theirs. @marijastrahinjic82735 жыл бұрын
excellent point, i love your interpretation! tbh i never really looked at the song that way, having my own "analysis" in mind and seeing it all from my own point of view. namely, i see it from the perspective of somebody regretting not having given a potential relationship a try, or nor acting on it, and then saying i don't want your body, i rather want your soul, i miss your company now that the time has passed and we didn't try to make things work out.

A lot of people like this song because they think it's a breakup song and that's cool but to me its so so so much more than that. It's about you losing yourself to yourself. And that little part of your soul that is trying to reach out to you to remind you that it's there and it still loves you is getting lost in the self destructive journey of this world. Essentially I see it as a break up song to yourself in hope of reconciliation. And that is why the 1975 is the shit and the boys are Amazing lyricists. I hope you have a lovely day everyone 🙌🏻

The more I learn about Matty, the more I listen to him, to his songs, the more I love him. Controversial, but so down to earth, so candid, so honest, no BS. It's all about authenticity, it's so refreshing to see this type of talent. In a world of Kardashians and all crappy music, this is so good and not only because of that! This would always be a great song. You can see how the 80's and 90's impacted him and play a role on whatever he creates. Just learned that one of his favourite songs is also mine. Love you Matty ❤

It is even more different when you've just broken up with somebody who has been toxic in the relationship, someone who has been trying constantly to turn off your light. I decided to put an end to a relationship with a person who has been doing this to me for the past 9 months, and the fact the the break up came up from me doesn't mean it's being easy to me. I miss the person I knew in the beggining, but maybe this person never existed and was only a creation of my mind. Anyway, both situations are sad and I feel bad for you. Sorry for the long comment

This song is a fucking masterpiece. I'm honestly not a huge fan of all their work, but the depth in this song... the simple yet complex ambient trance layered behind that sexy base line -- truly an incredible work. and for anyone wondering, yes they write every god damn note for all their songs. The hallmark of any real musician.

I feel ya. But don't take it too seriously if you can help it. Life is just a comical playground for our true consciousness. We're just pretending we're not gods. The nature of a god would be to pretend it is not god, to not be in control would be the ultimate reality after an eternity of control. We're never experiencing something that we didn't sign up for. Whether you're with somebody or you miss somebody, it'll all come out in the wash one way or another.

I'm reading thru fan theories and am really excited about what others would come up with. I hope it makes sense, but here's my theory: Matty & the girl from Robbers were so in love with one another. Too in love that it became destructive (with all the drugs and robbing and Matty getting shot) and in the end it didn't work out. A Change of Heart shows how Matty tried to fight for their relationship but the girl had a "change of heart" and left him. In Somebody Else, it starts off with Matty removing his clown make up and he changes into his regular clothes. I think this shows his grieving process with the loss of their relationship--how he's trying to become his old self which he lost in the relationship he had. Matty then goes out into the world trying to move on after finding out that the girl was in love with somebody else. But in the end he realizes that all he needed to do was love himself.

I agree on everything, I think you captured the meaning of the 3 songs.. Personally, I think the end would have a different plot.. I think he realizes that the problem was himself. It was only him who had the power to make himself feel miserable.. And he might be the reason everything didn't work out with her as well

I love how your perspective can change your emotion and listening way of this song.. it's like, when we broke up i LITERALLY SAW HER WITH SOMEBODY ELSE..at that time i used to cry listening to this song..the beat, especially the synths and guitar, the lyrics everything matched so well to make it emotional until a year later.. when i got way batter in my life and i moved on.. and now when I listen to this song i just dance happily(those drums).. and that's the thing I liked about this song the way they produced, wrote it, is just perfect.. infact THE 1975 is perfect.. if y'all intrested then lmk from what perspective you're listening to this song !!
