Similar story for me. Bought an mth starter set with a PS2 CSX SD70ACe to go around the tree circa ~2008. Now the basement is full. To this day it is one of my best runners and i’ll never sell it even though I do not generally model/run that era

I pretty much open up every new Lionel locomotive before even attempting to run them at this point, checking for loose/pinched wires, loose screws, etc. lol. Fun video!

It is amazing how fast this hobby sinks its teeth into you, and how quickly it’ll drain your wallet if you let it! 🤣😂 I’ve only broke my credit card rules once, and that was for this past spring York! It’ll happen again in the future though for sure!! The pre ordering on the new stuff really does help out (at least to me). Gives a year or more to pay em off before they even show up. I do like that! LOL

The tubular track has my personal first O gauge set on it. A lionel NYC Flyer steamer set in the “2018 shot” if that’s what your referring to. The board died a few years back, and it’s been removed to a box…
