If you need a really...REALLY...good primer that just unloads an unrealistic amount of heat/elec procs, the Kompressa is actually an insane and super useful option.

​@@superphatcakes yes but the damage stacks so example you do 5,000 dmg from pet then you do 40 heat that ramps up each proc but 40x100 or even 300 isn't a lot it's still 4k or 12k you want the heat procs to have massive damage to them because they ramp up over time but low damage still low damage if that makes sense so you do 17k Also this would still be 17k heat but it would be 300x17k but only take the first 100 meaning 170k

If you're looking for a weapon easier for Melee Afflictions, use Nikanas for their block attacks. no heavy attack needed. they're 2x ragdoll hits per swing, no forced slash procs.

Somehow I managed to cast Mind Control on THE SAME TARGET again and it survived! This skips the Bond entirely! I can't get the timing right most of the time but I'm sure that's the key to it. Edit: Wall of Text warning Casting Mind Control on a Blood Altar swallows all of the Altar's dmg. When we uncast Mind Control on the enemy the heat proc kills the target. A heat proc deals it's damage after a second has passed. Uncasting and recasting Mind Control on the same target is possible if it happens quick enough! I tried to get the timing of the heat procs' dmg timer: - First, the dmg ticks down the HP of the enemy - Then the grey 0 dmg number appears and floats upwards as usual - Almost right after the number fades the new 0 of the next instance of damage pops up Uncasting Mind Control is a held key action. - Takes about half a second If I start Uncasting right before the 0 Fades away the uncast will happen roughly right after the next damage instance hits the enemy. This way I have some time to recast Mind Control as soon as my lil monkey brain can process that the enemy's HP turned yellow instead of grey. I'm a human, so my reaction time is heavily impared compared to something like a macro, but I don't know AutoHotKey or Python scripts are considered third party botting so I avoid using those for now but they are sure better at timing this than I am. I'm practicing this at the simulacrum atm and also I'm working off of some timing based "predictions" as I'm really unable to time it precisely. Sidenote: Sometimes I managed to recast Mind Control so fast that the enemy became hostile but it retained the Mind Control effect and the radiation status bonus to it's shots. Fun times Bugframe

Update: Doing this makes the final % way less than the other way around Probably because the spread procs are dipping or double dipping into bane mods That's just a guess tho Using a sentinel for priming is still preferable as the Status Duration mods' effect is also inherited as the video mentioned. That way you can get more time windows for casting and uncasting.

Hi there ! Is there any less tedious, less extreme version of this build, doing decent damage without going all out to damage cap ? Like a weapon build that would pump up bonus damage from mind control by a fair amount ?

So its possible for this setup for affect Titania's 3, Protea's 4, Mag's 2, and Equinox 4 since they all have abilities that require you to damage enemy(s) to scale, assuming they consider or get affected by DoT damage?

Equinox is easier to charge with armor strip. But this one in particular is quite useful for protea due to how her damage falloff penalizes heavily normally. I can’t comment on Mag, as Magnetize has its own unique rules. Titania is possible, albeit Melee Influence Dex Pixia is a thing still atm

I could, was just running out of slots. I don’t think it would make a massive difference due to afflictions doing most of the scaling, but if you can fit it, it might result in slightly higher damage, meaning slightly less beam heat stacks needsd

Any unique cases Nyx can now utilize with MOAs and Hounds? Absorb was previously rendering all Robotic companions invulnerable before 1999, but can’t remember if it ever affected Beasts.

If your sentinel heat procs an enemy do you just blood altar that enemy then start stacking? Would this also work with kubrows? My sunika basically guarantees a heat proc every hit so would that work along with contagious bond?

Pretty much. Does work with kubrows too. Just have to pay attention more to what it hits because it’s not sharing your pov over your shoulder. It is probably easier to just make a pet dps build with kubrows then to force it into Nyx absorb setups, as kubrows have far higher dps and kpm capabilities than a sentinel, but come with the downside of unpredictability of AI behavior.

If you use the Mecha, you don't need to wait for the slash dot to go away, and the second enemy doesn't need to be in 9 meters range but 30 meters

He needed for the slash to go away so the original enemy didnt die from it despite being invincible because its bugged. How exactly would it matter if you use contagious or mecha set with that!? Also i would rather get stung by a wasp then to make this even more annoying and wait for the mecha set to randomly choose a fitting enemy, and HOPE it doesnt die instantly, or wait for 15sec again. AND having to use 1 aura and an extra mod on frame, and a beast pet, and use 2 extra mods on that one and its claws too. Nah. Alone not using a sentinel breaks this completely. Kubrows can deal insane heat dmg too and solo missions now, but i dont think the setup for this would work at all with it.

I have been trying my absolute best to make this build work lol I can't seem to get it right. Even following the steps here to a T I've got the same builds, following step by step, only issue is the fact that somehow, the enemies either die too quickly for me to cast mind control on them (when the stars align) or i do manage to mind control this enemy after the 15 seconds of setup, they only get to about 15k roughly dmg. so...I don't think I'll be able to nuke with nyx's 4. Bit of a bummer. I was excited too. Like yes finally absorb can scale very highly in steel path on its own, without assimilate being the be all end all best way to utilize Nyx in high end content. oh well. Maybe because it takes this many hoops just to get to where you are, maybe the devs intended people like me with just bad luck to play her normally.

First let you sentinel make a head proc on an enemy second blood altar said enemy third make a lot of heat procs on that enemy fourth use the arcane to heavy attack 6 time on the enemy and wait for the slash procs to go away fifth decade or wait for blood altar go away tag another enemy right after to grab the spreading damage from contagious bond which should be on your sentinel

Yeah I'm getting it to work consistently but for some reason the damage just isn't stacking, the max I've seen is about 200k when the heat DoT hits the other enemies for 2 billion :/

not possible. Mind Control has diminishing returns on incoming damage to build the buff. Without this strat, the previous highest it could go was a couple hundred thousand, and took even more effort than what was shown here. A typical gun setup will not be able to get Mind Control above 10,000-20,000%, and that's an EXTREMELY well-built meta gun. That's not enough Dmg% to kill a base SP enemy without bringing armor strip.

I think that’d be the hardest thing to get around. But this is cool nonetheless. I’m fairly new to the game so I don’t have access to a couple things but maybe I’ll try it out eventually

The best i could get with a gun setup was 40-50k% with Secondary Acuity Laetum and Zenurik shenanigans. I tried the setup shown in this video and imo its easier to learn the timing to cast mind control on the same target, that way you can prime the target yourself and don't need the companion setup at all.

Appreciate the theorycraft on that one, but this, for me, shows that Nyx was in need of a rework instead of lazy buff Imagine having Xaku, but with more regarded ai & to achieve results you have to go through all of this instead of just pressing 1 button when there's some enemies near you And their armorstrip is better even though you need to recast it often if your in a game mode where you need to go back and forth Man, I wish they actually changed something in her kit, but that's still good old niche survival frame. The only reason some will play her is Eleanor (can relate) and that feel of being "special one, not like the other girls," ahh type thing Sadly, for me she's now Revenant, but better. At least she's better i guess, eh

"This time"? Man I've been here for years. Very few of his builds, less than a fifth dare I say, are "non-practical". I was there during the refinement phase of the build, and trust me, he knew this thing is not going to be useful for average Timmies. But there are people that DO want complex builds and skill-based builds, thankfully. This build is for those people.
