Is it safe to travel to Belarus? Our Australian government is saying no due to war. My Mum was born in Belarus. Does that mean that I have dual nationality even if I was born in Australia?

It is safe to say to travel to Belarus as long as you don’t speak about politics and making no jokes about their government or president. Secondly - even if your mum was born there u have NO Nationality at all being born in overseas… (unless she has hold Belorussian citizenship and you have one too) And last one - better to travel anywhere in Europe and meet with pure European culture plus wonderful people, rather than spend money and time for the place from where people are trying to escape (pretty much like your mum) I was born in Minsk and came originally from Belarus in to Australia back in the early 90s. Went to visit rest of the family fewer times. So, above is just my suggestion to you. Enjoy it, mate Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺🦘✌️😉

Well i guess minsk is not cheap, becoming too expensive to live there, prices are comparable to europe, but with lower salaries. 10 years ago, yes its was cheap.

I have been to Vilnius previous winter, and prices in restaurants were on 50% more expensive than in Minsk. I would compare Tbilisi and Minsk terms of prices.
