Shenmue - Although it never got the attention it deserved I loved how every decision you made changed the story in different ways. 👨🏿💻

The creator destroyed the legacy of the series by scamming people out their money for Shenmue 3 and still not having a resolution to the original storyline
@jamesdayton25989 күн бұрын
@@sheemalmighty I wouldn't say scamming the people, just a terrible squeal that didn't move the story.

999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and it's follow ups are also great. The branching of the story becomes the center of the Story.

A fun little game called The Suffering. Good? Bad? Neutral? Your moral decisions decided the ending of how the beginning started. Also surprised Fable wasn’t mentioned.

Not exactly a Single Player game, but WWF No Mercy had a really fun Story mode with multiple branching paths.

A painfully underrated story driven game is Quantum Break. The game has a mind bending story that is immensely replayable for its Junction decisions alone. Seeing how the story unravels with each decision is so fun to watch and explore. All with a well written cast that you want to see the development of. Underrated story masterpiece

I replayed the Mass Effect trilogy including all DLCs more times than I like to admit. I absolutely love it and that will never change. Absolutely peak Bioware. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Tactics Ogre is a prime example of this. The three different routes you can take through the game can drastically alter the events of the story, as well as the fates of the characters.

I’d like to add Killer Frequency. The entire game takes place at a radio studio but it expertly crafts a narrative shaped by your decisions

Im so happy that Cyberpunk 2077 got the rebirth it did cause the story was 1 of the best of all time but a lot of people wouldn't of experienced it without the rebirth... I was 1 that was around from day 1 thru all the early backlash

The life and suffering of Ser Brante (steam), that is something not often mentioned, but should. A great game that is totally worth the time if want branching storyes. And ofc there is Being a Dik. (Niche but total masterpiece) Disco elysium… but you all know its great.

Detroit: Become Human has a fantastic multi-perpective story with some very interesting twists. Although it's a bit older, it still holds up pretty good (also in terms of graphics). I recommend anyone interested in story driven games to give it a shot. You won't be disappointed 😉

Fire Emblem Three Houses should be on this list since your choice at the start of the game leads to one of four stories (two of which are influenced by two more choices). And that's before taking support conversations and recruiting into account.

Cyberpunk was the biggest let down ever, outside of the glitches it was sold as a open world type game but wasn’t at all, you were shoe horned into a specific story and dead ends everywhere when you strayed off the beating path

Ay yo, why choose Witcher 2 instead of 3 ?

Hot take. I’m not huge fan of branching narratives. Especially in longer games like RPGs. It stresses me out when I think I could be making the wrong decisions that will give the ending I don’t like. It’s worse when they look huge chunks of the game behind certain choices you make and don’t make it clear what you need to do to get to that content (like P5 Royal).

I haven't even played BG3, but I knew this video was going to it at #1. All game countdown channels are so predictable and follow the same narrative. Basically I have seen this same video many times by various other channels.

I have 3 Fallout games Fallout 3 & New Vegas on PC and 4 on PS4 that 4 is defienitily my favourite because it's base building, looping and adventuring's so fun and about of Mass Effect games I've never played them before but I got Mass Effect Andromeda on a big sale only 5€ what was worth it because I love scifi action adventure games. Merry christmas and happy new year everyone! 😊❤
