All the annoying rule calling and complaining(mostly from viewers) would be amplified like crazy if there was any financial prize involved. 2:40 it's pretty stander rule that only first false start is dq. The other person is just relying on instincts and shouldn't be penalties. They wouldn't have false started if the other athlete didn't go first. The sport I know best is short track speed skating. After getting set athletes need stay perfectly skill to prevent trigger other athletes off the line. This to extended if athlets hair shift they could be penalties for the false start. If the hair shift cased another athlete off the line the person with hair shifts would be penalties and person off the line would have no impact. Slight off topic for speed skating they used to all one false start per skater in the race. Aka first false start was warning. This led to every athlete try time it perfectly leading to 3-4 start in every race. Then they switch to one warn per race. Aka there could be one false start in the race and it would just be restarted. Next false start would be dq. Now at the top levels any false start and your dq. ( its only first person off the line that get the dq). They also have development rules in canada which allow one false start in race the person who false start is brought 1 meter beind the line and starts from there.

Its anticlimactic, in my opinion because the final game, made everything before not matter. All that mattered is that you get top 4 to be in on the final game.
