Cutler Marsh is beautiful and a fitting place to visit while reading "Eager." I worked for the Forest Service as a resource manager for decades and often used beavers to rehabilitate rangelands and mining projects with amazing results that I and the beavers are very proud of... ;-)

I know that one can use a cell phone but editing no for me. I am almost 75 years old. My last road trip by myself & the cat was in 2019. Unfortunately there was no fishing as the reservoirs were dried up. So I walk around a bit. But that was it. I was trying to escape the wilderness fires. Eastern NV was much, much cleaner. Went to Pioche. Lots of beautiful parks around there. I am sure you probably have been there as the mountains are the climbing kind you like. Wheeler Peak at 13,068 ft Great Basin Nat'l Park. North of that Mt. Moriah in the Snake Range.

I am not writing for a challenge. I am writing that this type of video is adventurous and appealing to many people where budgeting a trip and make the most of it is a good way to enjoy with whatever a person can afford. The drone is a big plus since you are able to share from a bird eye view a scene that shows more of the surroundings. Good video make more of them indeed. Cheers.

Thank you so much for making all these videos, I watch and have enjoyed every one. Yoo Trist. I dig your vids 👍🏾. I enjoy you taking us on your exciting adventures. Utah looks like a beautiful place. I can’t help but look behind you as you film yourself in your car-and I notice plastic bins, stretch cords, and clips and such. I know you’ve done a practical camping vid showing you your products and your camping layout, but I would like to see an update. Maybe you picked up some new ideas or products? I would like to see how you setup and breakdown camp, shower scheme )even-though I’ve already seen it from previous vids). Basically just an update on your previous educational camp vid
@SUVRVing5 жыл бұрын
I could do that in the future for sure, but I don't think anything has really changed since I filmed a video that's on the Tiny Home Tours channel called "Living and Traveling in a RAV4 SUV." That's by far the most comprehensive video tour I've done, and it includes what's in the bins and everything.

Seeing as my 4Runner camper is basically finished (it's never REALLY going to be finished), the $20 challenge seems like a good reason to make a video about it. It will be in Pennsylvania, in December, so it might sort of suck, but hey, it's better than sitting at home. This is a great idea for the channel by the way... making it more interactive.

I love this idea! I'll tackle the challenge as well, and am very much looking forward to seeing all the various response videos. Also wanted to add, the drone really adds an amazing new dimension to your videos. That spot where you were kayaking was already cool from the kayak POV but from above...wow. I know you're new to the fishing but would really enjoy learning more about this unusual little rod if you ever feel inclined to go into more depth in a future episode. I'm not really a fisherman and own no gear at all, but this minimalist uncomplicated setup looks appealing...would love to snag a trout for dinner when the opportunity presents. Thanks as always and Happy Thanksgiving!

After the holiday's and after I move in March, I'm definately doing this. What a great idea. There really is no excuse to get out and go. Cool rod. Can you fish in larger streams to catch larger fish? I think Utah is amongst the top 5 most beautiful states in the country and for sure the most versatile. What priceless scenery you captured with your drone for only $20. Amazing!!! Thank you Tristan. By the way, if this was shot in October, you must be healing really well. That's great!
@SUVRVing5 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can fish larger streams and rivers with this kind of rod. People catch enormous salmon in Alaska with larger versions. I've always said that I think Utah has the highest density of beautiful places of all the states. Every state has beautiful places, but Utah seems to have the highest concentration of them. Very enjoyable video, and I might try your $20 challenge. Your experience with the underwhelming cave reminds me of something I did at Chaco Canyon. I thought I saw a huge cave opening a few hundred yards up a dry stream bed (on the way back from the Supernova pictograph and the great house remains), so I trudged out to it with great expectations.....but the “opening” was only a shadow cast by a huge boulder....anyway, I’ll have to give this $20 challenge some thought. The food was what I already had, with exception of the crawfish but it was given to me. My propane was already full, but it only uses a small amount. It costs $5 to fill so, maybe, $1 worth? I camped in my Jeep. I did purchase a permit that is good for all WMA's and I have used it quite a bit. I would say that it would be $1 or so of the permit cost.
