the reason why Macie is the best siege youtuber is his creativity. You can go watch people who are just pure gunners, get 15 kills a game and flick onto peoples heads, but the way Macie plays using his game sense is just so much more interesting, and keeps me coming back

I truly believe Grim to be extremely underpowered, and Im going to break down Macie's first clip to explain why its so weak, and how I hope to see it changed. *1.* 0:15 Macie uses the bees to zone out the roamer in armory. I think this play worked out due to how new Grim is. Even with active pings, Grim has nothing in his kit to take advantage of them. In other words, the defender could have stuck behind cover and eaten the pings, or given up the tiniest bit of ground and move to the stairs. Either way, Grim in this scenario has no real way to take advantage of the information (ex. grenades), and this kill is more a result of how people are accustomed to the op yet, rather than Grim being useful in this situation. *2.*1:03 Macie uses the bees to prevent a runout while in rappel/rotate up blue stairs. This is a smart way to use the gadget, but, for the runout, the claymores Macie had would do just as well. Yes, they could be shot out while the defender jumps the window, but this would reveal the defender's position all the same. As for the rotate up blue stairs, other op's gadgets can achieve better results with a bit of damage on top of the information. *3.* 1:35 Macie defends plant with bees. Once again, other gadgets can do this better than Grim (ex. Capitao), but even then, when holding defuser from below (and especially with a shotgun), Macie could've just as easily waited for the sound queue when the rook went to defuse to achieve the same result. I really believe Grim is just a worse Capitao. He gets more shots of his gadget, but his gadget is near useless in its launcher form, and Grim does not have the tools necessary to take advantage of his bees. Yes, with communication he would be better, but even then there are much better options with a coordinated team (Capitao, Ying, Jackal, etc). He needs a buff, personally I believe his gadget should instead be 3 bee nades, since in almost every scenario it would be better to have your gun out and/or pick other ops in his current form. If you were able to cook the grenade like Ying, it would allow the bees to come out faster. In grenade form his gadget could have much more uses, and take advantage of being able to bounce/roll the grenade to reach areas other area denial ops (capitao, gridlock, etc) cant, giving him a unique position among the zone denial/info operators (similar to how Sledge and Buck relate). I want Grim to be good, I really really do, but he only does what other operators can do, only worse.

1. You are correct that she could have stayed tucked and survived there but there's also the potential to get floor banged from garage by another player, a little coordination with just one teammate and this is an unwinnable situation for the Valk. 2. My intentions were to deny the rotation up white stairs, not to cover a runout, there's no danger from that runout on games room rappel. I'd also argue that Gridlock, Nomad and Capitao can easily be run through or shot out since I'm not actively covering it and going for a plant, but with Grim the residual pings make it easy to know if I can put defuser down safely. 3. Yes you can use Capitao but I find that having 2 bolts makes it rare to ever have any left over for a post plant situation. I will agree I could rely solely on the shotgun and sound for that specific plant spot but 100% do not recommend it elsewhere and with the commando. I do agree though I wouldn't mind buffing him but only his secondary gadget and maybe a higher magnification scope, but I honestly think his primary gadget is perfect. Flashes would be incredible on him, maybe too good, grenades would be way too strong for an intel op, however a gonne 6 or a hard breach could be nice. Love the well thought out comment btw!

@@MacieJay Rn Grim feels like a weird inbetween of intel and area denial. He specializes in neither, and thus i feel like its better to just run an op who does, since with some thought of playing around their gadgets, i find it more rewarding. Hes not useless ofc, but i still feel like other ops do what he does better. His gadget is the perfect example of a jack of all trades, but a master of none, and id rather take other ops. I mentioned this briefly before as well, but (especially with the more gun focused meta) almost every time ive used his gadget (creatively included) id rather have had my gun out instead. The time it takes from starting to switch and the hive coming out is extremely long (since the hive takes quite a bit to release the swarm). This makes me think its more for area denial, but the swarm dissipates extremely quickly so it lacks there too- It works alright for executes like in the video, but id rather take a more versatile area denial op that has more opportunities to be used throughout the round.

You don't need grenades to take advantage of Red Pings, it was over defuser which means macie can focus on flanks, if the defender wished to do anything he'd run into a gun fight far from site against Grim where is is a 50/50 to win, or eat the pings and try to sit on defsuer which is certain death.

Man just needs a 1.5. Having reflex only across the board for an attack OP just feels off. Don’t get me wrong, the SG550 works just fine with reflex but it still leaves you with something to desire for, especially with the pixel peaks the defenders typically do
