I know everything cost money to fix and improve....and I'm not a carpenter or an engineer ... but may I make a suggestion? You all probably have a life besides trying to renovate this property, but you seem to be working harder and longer than need be on some projects. 1. clean up should always be complete...breakdown and get rid of rubbish instead of putting it somewhere and touching the same rubbish again... 2. maybe you need to re-think what's best and what's not. Maybe you need to re-build slowly from the ground up...3. I'm praying all your wishes come true and the money starts coming in to help. ♥ I love watching how well you all work, play, and eat together. Be safe and stay healthy!
Or idea-rebuild it with a good basic wood all the way around and up and down then make your onside ceiling a blue tarp. Put in place your permanent roof tiles and trim bottom with bamboo rain gutters. You can’t wait. Grass and goats will have to wait. Move them around and get on this please.
You can't leave the roof like this for very long without more damage occurring. Please look into this quickly and stop the tasks that can wait such as wood shredding and grass mowing. Cosmetic clearing g of land isn't going to do much good if you lose too much of the house to termites and water damage.
Ok, now is the time. No more half way measures, clear side to heavy beams put in re purposed, cross beams, then flat boards, lathe the your tar paper then start your tiles, the whole side, now finish this now, it is to danger to leave with that tarp, any more your have the matching wood, do it,, please. Properly even a diy can do it but it’s the bottom layers that you need to get right. You don’t want to be up there on the roof in July hurry.
