I have a 2005 IS300, Pearl White, Black leather, automatic with 131,000 miles. The engine still purrs like a kitten. This is one of my favorite cars of all time. Also have a 2011 IS250 that I love to drive as well.

@@baadbreed The 05 with the inline six is stronger by far. The 11 with the 2.5 v6 is weak at low speeds, but quite, refined and much better gas mileage. I LOVE both.

I really liked my Lexus is300. It was a factory manual and factory LSD car with heated seats, but it was rusty underneath and really rough around the edges from the previous owner plus the exterior was heavily modified from the last owner. I wanted a clean slate so I sold it. I also did a “Frankenstein” engine setup by putting the factory vvti GE head on a non vvti GE short block essentially making it the GE equivalent of a GTE in terms of strength I planned to turbo it but sold it before that happened.

Great review! I believe after 2003 the center console changed. I have a 2004 with an arm rest that can move up to become a 3rd cup holder! I've owned an 01 and currently have a 2004. Amazing and reliable vehicles. Once again Toyota nailed it!

Awesome video bro! I love watching these. I got an 01 in pearl white with the black interior back in 2019, got it for around 4,400 or so from some old guy that loved the car as much as I do. It came with the factory limited slip diff and heated seats. I did the center console armrest swap from the 2002-2005 years of the car and that helped with the falling into the car thing lol. Its currently sitting at 160k miles and it still drives like new!

I have an 05 IS (manual!) that I bought new. Twice I was 300 miles from home and had a flat. It was great having the full size spare. My only gripe is the melted dashboard that plagued these cars.

You can get a cup holder insert from an 04 or 05 that gives you quite a bit more space for larger drinks

I own an 03 factory manual, just did the frs 4.1 diff swap too. A true joy to drive, but mine def needed a lot of work.

@@BernonCars yep the lower gearing (4.1 vs my 3.7 or other 3.9) gearing is pretty nice for sporty driving. it also is nice consdering its basically a 1:1 swap with the diff from the frs platform and so many IS300's came with an open diff or just have a worn out torsen. frs diffs seem pretty common too and they're guaranteed to be a torsen

I'd love to own a IS300 but even after 2 years of ownership driving my 6 speed manual Acura TL puts a smile on my face everyday. I miss my 1995 Lexus LS400 that I sold earlier this year after owning it for 7 years at 250k miles so I'm trying to talk my brother into getting a 2006 Lexus GS430 and he's considering it but he wants a Lincoln aviator. We'll see what happens after he test drives them both and I hope he goes for the Lexus haha

I’ve owned a 2002 IS300 and the seats fold down. It takes a bit to fold them but they do. I just think some of them didn’t. Currently own an 04 and they do not. Could just be some. Anyone else? Also top notch review my dude! 😁

imo its the Lexus LS400. Best Lexus ever. No direct injection means no carbon build up. The IS was notorious for that.

Nice video, still enjoying our 2003 5 speed, my wife is original owner, car is bone stock low miles and maintained… car is one of the best cars we’ve ever had, and it’s a freakin Toyota so it will last… if you’re asking did Japan do better I invite you to find a BMW of that age that’s even still running :P and with the 5 speed just super fun…

I currently own an is250 and I was going to get a 300 but got sold before I could meet w the dealer 😔 but the is2 is a pretty fun car to drive, it’s not that fast since it only has 200 hp but I love it nonetheless!

My 2001 is purple and black seeds purple cloth both front seats are heated the shifter on the steering works very fast try driving the car around at a higher RPM than normal like a 4-cylinder it's got a lot of unending power for such a light car mine's got 255 and the GS has 285 both run well is the IRS has an oil leak the rear seal on the motor the new coils bought it from a friend didn't want it anymore seal doesn't seem like a big deal couple of strong people I think the book in the glove box top speed of 143 it's similar for the GS it should tell you it's top speed in the book in the glove box get Z rated tires I like those tail lights you put on I want to put Toyota Corolla on mine
