Unless all that clear stuff was glass in the restaurant, the entire place will be filled with evaporated plasticizers. Better to leave plastics for the interior of automobiles. As for re-purposing a foundry, the city would be better off with the foundry. Why is it that wherever Leftism is strong, you will find silly or even stupid architecture? My personal preferences is for the old Prairie School and Arts and Crafts styles of building, but then those occurred just as Leftism was getting a good start. Perhaps architects should try reading _The Fountainhead_. They might actually be inspired to do something great.
