@AuMechanic6 жыл бұрын
Enjoyed the review. "Riding like a 4t", I was just thinking the same thing. 2t is "point and shoot", getting your aim right is the skill of riding them. And the guy who wanted a 4t is probably better off on one. If people ride a 2t like a 4t, they may as well own a 4t.
@pierceb21056 жыл бұрын
Yeah agreed. With the lack of low-end torque, small bore 2T's need to be kept high in the rev range and up in the powerband.
@AuMechanic6 жыл бұрын
Its that too, but the art is predicting the power band. Otherwise known as the "point and shoot" method, you are aiming to shoot the bike through an arc on the exit like a missile trajectory. If you overshoot you leave the track, you under shoot it bogs down. If you come out of the corner so fast you almost leave the track you know you got it right. Dirt and road racing the basics are the same, I rode dirt 2t not racing and road raced 2t twins many years ago. The 2t needs to ride out of the turn in a trajectory. 4t can get out with torque but a 2t can exploit that. A light 2t can go under a 4t in to a corner without too much trouble and ride a the arc across the front of a 4t and the 4t looses its edge out of the turn. Once you learn to aim and shoot the 2t the fun starts. Put it this way, using a firearm wouldn't much fun if you couldn't hit the side of a barn with one. Likewise if you cant aim a 2t they are not as much fun to ride.
@johnnysheridan6 жыл бұрын
4T are for the lazy-minded!..2T you are so mixh more..'connected'...drove a 4T for like 30secs before..never ridden another ever again,i was depressed after you pass the inital low end torque

@jessicacook8076 жыл бұрын
There is not comparison between a 250f and 125 anymore. At one point there was, but four stroke technology continues to improve where as two stroke is mostly unchanged. My yz250f is super torquy where my rm125 is all top end. My 125 is fun because it is so light, but is basically a track toy. You can barely ride trail with them and tracks with deep ruts are really difficult. I wouldn't have a 125 as my only bike but I ride single track. It's really based on your riding style, weight, and what you ride I wouldn't necessarily categorize either as strictly a beginner bike. 125s are typically the first full sized bike for people though because of their weight
@Lowkey_DeAndre6 жыл бұрын
Jessica Cook very valid points it’s all about preference and yeah my yz125 is my first full size bike but I also want a pit bike either an 65 two stroke or 110 four stroke
@578_6 жыл бұрын
DeAndre Clarke all the pros must be beginners then lmao gtfo, both bikes have there advantages but 4 strokes will definitely get you a win racing amateur races, like the guy above me said 4 strokes are constantly getting improvements while 2 strokes are unchanged #Moto4lyfe #4strokes

I’ve never been beat by a 2 stroke after I got my 2004 RMZ250 in 2005 racing B class and now I’ve got a kx250f 2017 and she’s a beasts! Fuel injection ftw and still have yet for a 2 stroke to beat me straight up
