Thanks Ron, great video. Love the car. Also love the fact Maserati only seem to make small changes year on year, rather than a wholesale redesign. Get your point regarding the new 'gear' select, but a little surprised Maserati still stick with the 'lever' approach whereas many other manufacturers use dial's or stalks on the steering column to change gears, hence leaving more room in the centre console area....

Im conflicted because why the other automakers use the dial and column shifters, theres something authentic and involving in cranking back that gear shifter and acceleration through the gears.

Maserati has their work cut out to make a better looking wheel than the Titano. For me, either with the Ghibli or Quattroporte, Titano wheels are a must.

I agree. My colleague purchased a new Quattroporte (2014) for around $115,000 and now he's selling it for $35,000.. It's too bad... Maserati is doing such a terrible job, especially introducing cars like the Ghibli which are made terribly using cheap parts..

My 2 cents. I’ve driven Maseratis in Sicily, loved them. Regular/normal gear select is fine with me. Button or dial gear select is bullcrap like Lincoln ( no way). Very pretty car with Ferrari infused engine; I’m okay with! The updates are fantastic.

Starts at 137 but can shoot up to $150k real quick I bet. Local dealer in my area has $20k off all their 18s except for Levante and Gran Turismo. They dont have any GTS models.

The tech is there for the most part but let me tell you, since owning Maseratis the passed 3 years, I havent used much tech at all man. A lot of that stuff I dont need myself which is why I stick around. Im pretty minimal. Give me something that looks, sounds and feels good and Im set.

Much to even my surprise, Masers have been considerably reliable for the last 5 years or so since FCA ownership. And as much as Doug provides some great reviews, I don't think he understands Maserati that much - I don't think it's right to trust him when it comes to this brand..... :(

we need more power for ghibli :)) doesn’t have any special with any maserati except high price. When C63s or M3 can 0-100km under 4s and sound in amg absolutely better , we need more power and more unique character in ghibli , or maybe decreasing weight for launching better

I love the LED lights but I wish they were a little more aggressive with the GTS model. The previous gens were nice as hell!

I actually found the cup holder bit the most interesting out of this while video 😂 I think they originally designed it for slick Italians who buy medium Starbucks cappuccinos on the move. But if the vast amount of customers have bigger drinks, then car makers have to react. You know the sad thing about the GTS? They're not selling it anymore in the UK market... Or even the 424hp S! All we're getting from now and 2019 is the diesel and a weak 350hp variant. Could be wrong though, but the configurator rarely lies...

Lol you'd be surprised how many people complain about the small cup holders and for a gran touring car I could see why it was an issue. That really stinks that you guys dont get the bigger petrol engines over there in Europe. I wonder if thats why the Trofeo is coming to the states first...

I think it's too early to tell. I'll have to find out if retrofitting is possible with the way the new gear select is set up.

Rons Rides gearbox’s the same, it’s the circuit board and the stick, possible, but the thing bout having a Maserati is that you never gonna know 1. if they are gonna do it 2. When they are gonna do it 3. How many thousands will that costs. Maybe you can help giving feedback/suggestion of having old models upgraded?
