I don’t get it. Why were these people hired? I can understand wanting to make this funny, hence hiring comedians. But these guys weren’t funny or very snarky. And on top of everything they had no clue who a lot of people were or much “entertainment” knowledge. Shouldn’t the post at least hire someone who knows who the guest are so the host can at least entertain with their commentary. I don’t feel these reporters added much. It's easy for people to take this event by face value. Conducting their own shallow analysis, never being able to look past the "silly costumes" and "rich people". They easily overlook the main purpose of the event, which is to raise serious money for the museum in order to set up costly exhibitions, which will be open to public and inspire future generations of creative people in the workforce, thus keeping the wheel of the economy in the retail sector turning. Not to mention the hundreds of jobs this event alone created for people in stage construction, catering, etc (The "Satire" and "Pop Culture" reporters in the video included), which are probably happy to have more work in order to pay their ever rising rent costs.
