You rightly mentioned Hyundai and Kia, which both are killing it right now with value, tech, and performance, plus the old canned response of "yeah, but their reliability, and build quality sucks" just doesn't hold water anymore... I always ask those who say that if they have driven one in the past 2 or 3 model years, and the answer is always no, which means the opinion is based on rumor or hearsay...

I have a 2018 1.5T Touring Accord and I absolutely love it! Normally 3 years in, I am starting to get bored and ready for a new ride but not with this Accord. It has all the tech features, practicality, and drivability that satisfies me. I thought about the 2.0T when I bought it and also the Hybrid but the deals on the hybrid were practically non existent and I decided the 1.5 was good enough to keep me happy (and I was right). Finally gas mileage is nothing short of phenomenal. When I am driving conservatively, I can see over 40 mpg on the highway. That makes me very happy. When I do replace this car, there is a good chance I will do so with another Accord. No sense in doing that until after 2023 when it is completely redesigned. My wishlist for that redesign: get rid of the claw like taillights and replace with a full LED set. Also let’s go full digital on the instrument cluster like the Civic and CR-V.

Accord Hybrid 0-60 Guide! You've had 3 years to get bored with the Accord, but you haven't been in the others that long. I have the 2018 2.0 Touring in that white pearl paint (extremely gorgeous in sunlight) with the cream interior and my lease is coming up in 4 months. I would most likely not have renewed to a 2021 model, but I feel pretty disappointed the interior hasn't gained any meaningful upgrades to potentially sway me. For instance the infotainment is still 8" with immense bezels, and the OS hasn't had any changes. My Android Auto experience would therefore be the same, limited screen space. They probably haven't fixed the horrible cooled seats which blow warm air that you can't feel. The key fob is still the same too, despite being on so many older generations of Honda cars. Still using halogen lighting inside. Could've at least used LEDs with warm diodes. Still no 360 camera. And truthfully the new foglights are a regression. I much preferred the horizontal bar design that fit with the headlight shape and gave it a more robotic look. The Honda Link app is incredibly bad and the maintenance on it is so lacking. The app is buggy, and the customer support response to owner reported issues seems to be almost non existent. It's like they don't care or don't know how to care. Why bother advertising your connected car with your smartphone if your software isn't up to par? Look at the reviews on Google Play and it's enough to be ashamed at their development quality. Overall, not enough to make me stay with the same car again. Pity, there's a lot that I liked, but I feel this refresh isn't at all enough against competition.

@Haoi12163 жыл бұрын
What honda should of done to the accord is put the 1.5t with the hybrid motor Sofyan. ZERO or almost zero turbo lag. And for the current 10th gen civic si, they should of put the 2.0t(like the type R engine instead of the 1.5t) in it but slightly different compression ratio, gear ratio, smaller turbo, not as aggressive vtec cam angles on the exhaust valves and call that a day. Just like how they use to make fa5s and fd2s, which to me it make a lot more sense.

I own one and after having it for a good bit it is an awesome car. I also need to mention that I am 6’6 and fit well in it so it to be a midsize car, it is really large inside. The pick-up is incredible with the 2.0 Turbo, the technology is incredible along with the ride… especially for the money! You should have compared the 2.0T touring to the others when you gave it a hard time. Then you mentioned the paddles, in the 2.0 they do shift the gears. That hybrid sedan is not for power it is for economy. Btw you also mentioned heated steering wheel heat is not available but that is incorrect. Mine has it but is an upgrade accessory from Honda Dealer Accessories. I do have one complaint with it, the internet is horrible and does not work well at all. Oh yea I agree with you the screen could be larger. Thanks!
