Beth and I review the interior in the all-new 2021 Hyundai Elantra in its Limited trim. With an as-tested price of $26,450, you get a ton of tech for your money including fully digital gauges, a best-in-class 10.25 inch touchscreen, Bose stereo, 64 color ambient lighting and many other features. The 2021 Elantra also has more space than before making it more comfortable and practical than ever before. Unfortunately, Hyundai continues to use lots of cheap feeling plastics, making the interior feel less plush than most of the competitors. If you value technology over everything else in your compact sedan search, the Elantra is clearly the best pick. Even if you don't, the Elantra is still one of the strongest values in this segment and a solid choice for any compact sedan buyer. What do you think of the new Elantra interior? Thanks to Hyundai for providing this vehicle to review!

The review was interesting. It seems there is an affinity for the Mazda 3. The hard plastics is pretty minor considering the Hyundai has a better engine and drive train in my opinion. Reliability is far more important to me than soft touch plastics but to each his own.

Speaker knob? Use the steering wheel. Or better yet voice command. Also the loss of the Wireless Android Auto is no big deal. It sucks power from the phone at an atrocious pace leading to having to charge the phone on long trips. Yes you can use the Wireless charging but that generates a lot of heat and if your phone moves you lose your charge. Using wired connection eliminates those issues and the phone charges while you are connected. I have the exact model and color and the car is fantastic!

As someone who rarely has anyone else in the car with me, this seems like a great car! And at least there is a hole in the bar that a charging wire could go through. And if the passenger wants to set their phone down, they can put it in the small pocket right below the bar. Having no USB ports in the back is probably the worst part about the car for me, but since I would rarely have anyone back there, it doesn't really matter!

if you look at the legroom features, this car is on par with the Sonata and that's insane. Too bad it doesn't have the paddings. But the screeans and ambient lighting make up for it i think.

I’ve had this for almost a year now and trying to measure long term reliability over the next couple of years for you guys. So far it’s a pretty smooth ride, faster than you’d think tbh, the free maintenance is nice as of now. You can really hear the outside noise though but nothing major. Some Bluetooth connectivity issues as well but other than that solid car.

I'm happy that Hyundai made the passenger seat higher. Wad one of my main complaints with Hyundai/kia vehicles that don't offer height adjustment passenger seats, is that it sat to low. Especially when driving around an older person, it's a lot more uncomfortable when trying to get in and out, so go on Hyundai for at least raising the seat

Matt, I think that winter jacket looks better on you than the more formal winter jacket you wore on some of the other reviews. .....turn signal stocks look like they used material left over from the front grille. Gauges are really nice tech. That piece of plastic on the left does seem kind of weird. That grab handle/pillar on the passenger side near the center counsel reminds me of another car review you did...probably toyota camry.....anyway, it's really 'goofy' as I think Matt said about the Camry. ....ambient lighting is really nice. .....sounds like Nissan Sentra would be better from this review. As always, thank you Matt, thank you Beth......from your fan, Jazzbeau.

Matt, do you think that weird painted ring at 7:16 is for mounting a cell phone mount? It would be a perfect place for one! Also, the perfect type of surface to get a really secure grip, and the placement is extra convenient for a cell phone mount. It also helps you keep the windshield clear of a mount & the dash is a terrible place to put it because it usually damages the material.
@MattMaranMotoring

It could be a great phone mount position, but I feel like with the smartphone integration in the infotainment, a phone mount shouldn't be necessary for most people.
