It's amazing but why there is no option of Q4 the all wheel drive it can make it's accelerating much better I think it can go to 62 miles per hour around 3.6 seconds it can be head to head with E63 AMG or the M5

Rons Rides My 2017 Ghibli SQ4 can accelerate to 62 mile/h in 4.8 s and the trofeo can do it in 4.3 with this massive engine.

The thing is these type of cars with complicated V8 engines are expensive to repair,and it's a Ferrari so it might be dependable,and to add that the Trofeo version is far better in terms of build quality so that you cannot stick a toothpaste (Doug demuro) But the damage has been done by the V6 Ghibli which is not good

I agree the base engine is underwhelming. The S Q4 produces over 400hp. I wouldn’t call that underpowered by any means. I will agree that it is underpowered for its segment but the Trofeo addresses that. The Ghibli was never meant to do any one thing better than the competition, it’s a touring sedan meant to have a balance of power, agility, and drivability. They are extremely fun to drive and, in my opinion, have the best sound I have heard out of any V6. Of course, this is just my opinion but many owners I know share the same sentiment.

It’s probably going to be more expensive than an M5 because SQ4 Gransports are usually around 100k and an M5s are about 110k. (And the difference between a Levante GTS and Trofeo is about 40k,) but I still hope it’s not grossly overpriced.

@@roccotarli762 I agree with you. there is a lot of arrigance in Maserati. They think BMW and Mercedes are beneath them but that was when Maserati competed with Ferrari. The Agnelli familly has done everything in their power to stop that from ever happening again.

Maserati will offer the luxury and ride quality but the Alfa really stands out with pinnacle performance and entry level luxury with good price point. I don't think the trofeo will entice me away from a Giulia QV as the performance bandwidth does not justify the switch to a Maserati.

footballcoreano lol, Maserati over Aston Martin is just wrong. Only those who can afford supercars can afford an Aston Martin. Whereas the Maserati base models are a segment lower for luxury buyers who want a no fuss luxury vehicle. Zegna is just a brand, it doesn't guarantee that it is the Creme de la Creme of materials. Aston Martin also has fantastic interiors particularly in the DB11. In terms of exclusivity Aston Martin is ahead of Maserati as to afford their new SUV will set you back 160k pounds. The Levante is way less

Craig Jones they do, the Levante q4 Trofeo is such an awesome Super SUV that is actually faster than the Ghibli and Quattraporte Trofeo. As you mentioned, it is down to the AWD system that allows fantastic launches. However, I think they did not take sufficient time to develop and think through what they want out of the Quattraporte and Ghibli Trofeo. Because they simply slapped the engine into the same chassis which isn't the way to engineer a pinnacle car of their respective segment. The Germans, they engineered the whole car differently in their AMG models or M models whilst looking like the standard luxury models. What Maserati should have done was to lighten the car in all possible areas. So a new structure, new materials, less leather plush seats and more sports centric seats along with carbon fibre roof etc..... basically they need to lighten the whole car down so as to allow an RwD performance of 0-60 below 4s. Now that would be desirable. Not the current lineup

There is no reason to ridicule the Ghibli. That being said, cars that can do 200+ mph are so unnecessary in the real world. Even if you track these cars, average driver will kill themselves driving 200 mph. SO, its unnecessary. I'm sure these will be severely over priced as well Ron. Good video however.

Top speed is irrelevant in a USA bound car. But the quoted 0 to 60 seems too low. Alfa Giulia does it in 3.6 seconds, so 4.3 for this cars seems wrong.

@@ethanshill8815 That is true, but I wouldn't touch a Benz if it wasn't a leased car paid for by your company or a leased S class inline 6. All the others are just not worth the purchase, all except the dedicated AMG GT and the GT 4 door, G63. The rest really will be in the dust bin instead of the wish list. If you're considering value retention over Maserati, I think the Merc is a pretty bad choice, along with BMW. For a similar price range, get the Porsche. German and yet really reliable, even far more reliable than their sister companies VW and Audi which are poor in overall reliability. Lastly in regards to Maserati, I'm not too convinced with the uprated V8s when the already impressive and well valued Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio is such a gem to drive and has a better performance spectrum than the best Maserati can offer in their 4 doors. So for FCA, I'd go with the Giulia Quadrifoglio or a baseline Ferrari Portofino. These are cars worth the ownership as one is an engineering masterpiece and well valued for Ferrari tech. The other is a supercar GT that does it all and gets you lots of mileage, whatever it is, from status symbol, to popularity magnet, to business influence and lastly joining the right club/network that owns the same brand and shares the same interests, makes you some high value friends that could mean a win win for both parties.
