I have a 2014 g 650gs the single thumper as you say. It is a wonderful little tractor that is still going strong. Things that I wish it had a gas gauge, a 6th gear, and rain mode. So looking at the f 900 gs possibly. Thank you for a great review. 😊

I’m tossing up whether or not to get one of these or a R 1250 GSA, on not a serious off-roader but do like some nice gravel type roads. These look a little more nimble than the GS, and as a 62 year old, nimble sounds appealing.

I traded in my 18 K1600 GTL for a GSA identical to that. The only differences I have, is the BMW Garmin VI Nav (from my K bike) and I installed the aluminum luggage (trunk and saddle boxes) Great bike and yes, I like it better than the K bike!

DO NOT use an iPhone on that mount. The BMW mount doesn't have a damper so the vibrations will damage the camera focusing mechanism on an iPhone. I learnt the hard way on a Honda and the BMW sales guy told me to avoid using an iPhone, stick to a Quadlock with vibe damper

Thanks for an informative video, I am seriously considering buying one of these fine bikes and your video has helped inform me. One question, what is the stem on the front right of the bike? Is it for your garage door/some accessory you’ve put on?

That was just a camera accessory I wound up not using. Not a BMW accessory at all. Though the crash bars make a great mounting point for things like GoPros or insta 360’s if you’re into recording your own rides.

Wanted to like this bike but think the tiger 900 gt pro is better based on everything I have watched and read. You also said it is nicer than other competitors cause it has more technology. The tiger 900 gt pro has more tech than this bike
