The 2024 Chop Of Life - Drum Lesson

This isn't supposed to be YOUR chop of life, nor is it really KZbin's Chop of Life. Hell, there is no "Chop Of Life" because chops and licks always take a backseat to groove, feel, pocket, and appropriate playing. That being said, when you're bored of your own playing, ya feel like you play the same thing over and over; adding a new chop to your playing can give new life to your playing and your enjoyment of the kit. So, this is MY 2024 Chop Of Life because I get super excited to sit down on the kit and discover new and hopefully tasteful ways to use it. I love the concept here! There is a chop with the bass drum in the Fiona Apple half time shuffle (On the Bound) at around 3:59 in the song that I have been wanting to break down and practice but I cannot tell exactly what is happening. Maybe playing around with this Chop of Life will help me to figure it out!!!
