The 2024 KIA Sportage Hybrid - It’s Worth The Wait!

I've spent the last month watching videos, and many of them yours. I've been comparing all of this size suvs, and though I was really close to Rav4 I've just really been loving ever little thing I see on the Sport'age. The inside, the outside, the lights, the shape, the spacious cabin, the towing capacity, the quiet ride, the 5 year warranty... and the price. I just can't validate any other compact hybrid suv for 2024... and fyi, I'm not a young fellow, I'm 62 years old, and retired military. And as a mechanical/electrical engineering fellow from the Navy, I'm rather picky about the specs. lol

I've had my Sportage SX Hybrid since June 2022 and absolutely love it. I traded in my 2018 SX Turbo, and as much as I enjoyed it, I have no regrets.

It's quite unbelievable that only the automotive industry is still facing supply chain issues....or they are just giving excuses to hype up the demand.... 1-1.5yr wait time sounds crazy.... Hopefully we will see those good days back when there are no wait times and one can get a car when needed...... (At affordable prices... prices have gone way up too despite decreasing demand)

I was looking at two other Hybrid options and didn't even think of Kia, but decided to go to my local dealer to check it out. They had a car there which I test drove and loved it. Bought it the next day and getting it delivered in a week. I think I was pretty lucky as the other two options were more expensive and with a longer wait. Can't wait to drive it.

Just got one of these in the US. But all of these videos were extremely informative and helped me make the choice. Loving the Sportage Hybrid. Nothing beats it for the money. Even the cars 10-15k more. Anyway, great videos! Keep it up. KIA should give you commission. Lol

I'm still tossed, is there a comparison video available between the Sportage Hybrid, and the Niro? I'm actually looking at the Plug in Niro to be be the closer in power to the Sportage. Price wise pretty much as well. But I'm wondering about things like door entry ease, and rear storage. Though I really wish Niro had the awesome rear window wiper that Sportage has. lol I love the long range mpg on the Niro, but I am not sure how that translates into a 5,000 mile road trip? And some of that has mountains to climb.

Nope! Only the PHEV’S (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) has to be charged.

Nice video. I ordered a nicely equipped SX Prestige Hybrid in April (midwest US). No sign of it yet now almost February. Disappointed they dropped the heated windshield and still don't have wireless Car Play (available on the base trims huh?) but KIA raised the sticker price about $1100. Hope I get it before the '25s come out.

I saw what you were talking about just last week when I viewed the 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid FWD. I didn’t feel the wow factor with this vehicle. Piano Black and a big monolithic infotainment-MID screen takes some getting use to. However Kia does have wonderful gear boxes, whether it’s a DCT or Torque Converter. Cheers. NZ.

One deal told us 12 to 16 month the other told us 18 to 24 months . We are 3 months in pur deposit. Do you all get them fast then we do in Quebec. Thank you

I booked sportage PHEV from your dealer. I did not hear anything back. I called to inquire to know status. I dont know some one at dealership recommend to take money back. In the USA will the 2024 Sportage Hybrid have PROJECTION led headlights in all trim levels or will it only be in the SX Prestige as it is for 2023 model.

While our cars here are similar they often come with different equipment & we do not receive official specs for the States. With that being said here in Canada, Projection LED’s will only be equipped on our top trim (SX) for 2024.

Highest trim is the SX Prestige. I have ordered a hybrid back in Aug ‘23 and still waiting for it to be manufactured, much less delivered to the dealer. 😢 Price for ours is about $42,000 a little more than that for us, since we added a hitch.

Alloy design is nice. But I don't understand why EV alloys need to be efficient, and gas models don't. No sunroof is a welcome feature including white ceiling. Recently when I got into Sportage with all black inside, it was claustrophobic.

Make sure you cover the fact Kia Canada has instructed dealers to hold back deliveries of vehicles so as not to over achieve sales which in turn give Kia Canada marketing spend in 2024. Dealers are being told to blame the delay on logistics and transportation. A new low Kia !!

I am not sure why in the US and Canada, the year Model is mentioned at least 2 years ahead. It was launched in 2022 under 22 plate numbers here in the UK. Then, there is zero change in the next year, 2023, and 2024. It's a fantastic drive, but I wish every door had its own door lock button. and switching between climate and media is very confusing sometimes.

I cant help but wonder when the Koreans are going to supplement the GDI system with Port injection to avoid the carbon build up issues on ALL their GDI cars!!!!!

Unfortunately they like all other automakers will not ever . The short term performance and benefits out way any out long term negativity. In all honesty it is a way better system short term . What they squeeze out of these motors and such small size is nothing short of incredible. This isn't just kia but all automakers using this technology. Plus it forces you to do services on your vehicle and most people tend to go back to the dealer. Which is a double edge sword for the consumer and a ++ for the dealers . I think the key points are more often oil changers . Back to 3 to 5k km no 10k. Oil treatments .used better fuel. High octane as often as possible. Don't be afraid to step on the gas pedal to burn off those nasty carbons
