This is what I don't like about card collecting. If I start to collect a run, I waat to be able to complete that run without having to spend 5000$ because I need to buy some of the rarer cards at crazy after market prices. What happened to card collecting when we were kids and everyone could afford it. What a bummer man, this makes me sad. So glad I got out of collecting comics and cards. It wasn't even fun anymore.

I need to look through all my marvel cards again. I didn't even realize they were still doing Marvel Masterpieces. Even back i nthe early 90's a pack of these was like 2 or 3 times as much as a pack of others.

The art and finishes are exactly what I want to see in a set. I'm not willing to spend anywhere near that kind of money though. It makes me sad because it's such a great product that isn't even remotely inclusive. There are so many kids, and even adults, who will never get to experience the joy of collecting due to price.

It would be amazing if the put out a release of this set without all of the limited edition gimmicks in it. Just a simple 90 card base set with maybe 5 chase cards. They could release them in packs of 9 for $5/pack and sell a ton of them to people who actually want to collect them instead of trying to make a quick buck on speculators. I know I'd love to get this set as the artwork looks great. But at $16/card, ha, not even if I was a millionaire.

Couple of things. First $600 is absolutely insane these are Panini prices for a far more niche market than sports cards. The value you pulled is probably a couple hundred at most which is the problem with box rips for all cards. The value is almost never there unless you get very lucky. Second if you’re printing over a thousand of a card can we stop with the whatever out of 1500 or 2000. Limiting a card to 1500 or 2000 basically means nothing lol.

Honestly, even the extreme collectors should exert some self-control and boycott that shit because it's outrageous to come to the remaining AND dwindling collecting community with a card set at $600 a box and with a build that can only compile 99 complete sets worldwide.
